دعائے کرب
A supplication for steadfastness in obedience. The reciter asks Allah not to let them love what He detests nor be kept from what He loves, and seeks refuge from consenting to His wrath, rejecting His commands, or transgressing His limits, praying instead to hold fast to what He has made lawful. It is a prayer to bring one’s own will into agreement with the pleasure of Allah.
Lines marked auto had their transliteration produced from the vowelled Arabic rather than typed by hand, and the Centre’s alim has not read them yet. The Arabic is the text: where the two differ, follow the Arabic.
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ لَا تُحَبِّبْ اِلَيَّ مَا اَبْغَضْتَ وَلَا تُبَغِّضْ اِلَيَّ مَا اَحْبَبْتَ۔ اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَعُوْذُ بِكَ اَنْ اَرْضٰى سَخَطَكَ اَوْ اَسْخَطَ رِضَاكَ اَوْ اَرُدَّ قَضَائَكَ اَوْاَعْدُوَ قَوْلَکَ اَوْ اُنَاصِحُ اَعْدَاۗءَكَ فَاَعْدُوْ اَمْرَكَ فِيْهِمْ۔ اَللّٰهُمَّ مَا كَانَ مِنْ عَمَلٍ اَوْ قَوْلٍ يُقَرِّبُنِيْ مِنْ رِضْوَانِكَ وَيُبَعِّدُنِيْ مِنْ سَخَطِكَ فَصَیَّرْنِيْ لَهٗ وَاَحْمِلْنِي عَلَيْهِ يَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ۔ اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّيْ اَسْئَلُكَ لِسَانًا ذَاكِرًا وَقَلْبًا شَاكِرًا وَيَقِيْنًا صَادِقًا وَاِيْمَانًا خَالِصًا وَجَسَدًا مُتَوَاضِعًا وَارْزُقْنِيْ مِنْكَ حُبًّا وَاَدْخِلْ قَلْبِيْ مِنْكَ رُعْبًا۔
Allaahumma laa tuhabbib ilayya maa abghadta walaa tubaghghid ilayya maa ahbabta.
Allaahumma innee a'oozu bika an ardaa sakhataka aw askhata ridaaka aw arudda qadaa'aka awa'duwa qawlaka aw unaasihu a'daa'aka faa'doo amraka feehim.
Allaahumma maa kaana min 'amalin aw qawlin yuqarribunee min ridwaanika wayuba''idunee min sakhatika fasayyarnee lahoo waahmilnee 'alayhi yaa arhama ar-raahimeena.
Allaahumma innee as'aluka lisaanan zaakiran waqalban shaakiran wayaqeenan saadiqan waeemaanan khaalisan wajasadan mutawaadi'an warzuqnee minka hubban waadkhil qalbee minka ru'ban. auto
O Allah! Do not make love the things which You detest neither make me away from the things which You love. O Allah! I seek refuge that I agree to Your wrath or I disagree to Your wishes, or I reject Your commands, or I mix with Your enemies and transgress Your laws. O Allah! Make me adhere to Your laws of permissible things which brings me near to You and make me away from prohibited things which makes me away from You O most merciful of all the mercifuls. O Allah! I seek of You to grant me a tongue which remembers and thanks You. A pure and true faith and body. Grand me Your love, and let Your love be firm in my heart.
خدایا! ہمیں وہ بات محبوب نہ بنا جس سے تونے نفرت کی اور نہ اس سے متنفّر کر جو تجھے پسند ہے۔خدایا! میں پناہ مانگتاہوں کہ تیرے غضب پر راضی ہو جاؤں، یا تیری رضا پر ناراض ہوں، یا تیرے حکم کو رد کروں، یا تیرے دشمنوں سے خلوص کر کے تیرے احکام سے ان کے لئے تجاوز کروں۔ خدایا! قول و فعل میں جو چیزیں تیری رضا مندیوں سے قریب اور تیرے غضب سے دور کردیں مجھے ان باتوں کا ہابند بنا دے، اور انہیں پر کاربند کر دے اے سب مہربانوں سے بڑے مہربان۔ خدا وندا! میں تجھ سے تجھے یاد کرنے والی زبان، شکر گذار دل، سچّا یقین، خالص ایمان، تواضع پسند جسم، طلب کرتا ہوں، مجھے اپنی محبت عطا فرما، میرے دل میں اپنی ہیبت قائم کر۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنْ تَرْحَمْنِيْ فَقَدْ حَسُنَ ظَنِّيْ بِكَ وَاِنْ تُعَذِّبْنِيْ فَبِظُلْمِيْ وَجَوْرِيْ وَجُرْمِيْ وَاِسْرَافِيْ عَلٰى نَفْسِيْ فَلَا عُذْرَلِيْ اَنْ اَعْتَذِرَ وَلَا مُكَافَاةً اَحْتَسِبُهَا۔ اَللّٰهُمَّ اِذَا حَضَرَتِ الْآجَالُ وَنَفَدَتِ الْاَيَّامَ وَكَانَ لَاُبَدَّ مِنْ لِقَاۗئِكَ فَاَوْجِبْ لِيْ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ مَنْزِلًا۔ اَللّٰهُمَّ یَغْبِطُنِیْ بِهِ الْاَوَّلُوْنَ وَالْآخِرُوْنَ لَا حَسْرَةَ بَعْدَهَا وَلَا رَفِيْقَ بَعْدَ رَفِيْقِهَا وَاَكْرَمِهَا مَنْزِلًا۔ اَللّٰهُمَّ اَلْبِسْنِيْ خُشُوْعَ الْاِيْمَانِ بِالْعِزِّ قَبْلَ خُشُوْعِ الذُّلِّ فِي النَّارِ اُثْنِيْ عَلَيْكَ رَبِّ اَحْسَنَ الثَّنَاۗءِ لِاَنَّ بَلَاۗءَكَ عِنْدِيْ اَحْسَنَ الْبَلَاۗءِ۔
Allaahumma in tarhamnee faqad hasuna zannee bika wain tu'azzibnee fabizulmee wajawree wajurmee waisraafee 'alaa nafsee falaa 'uzralee an a'tazira walaa mukaafaatan ahtasibuhaa.
Allaahumma izaa hadarati al-aajaalu wanafadati al-ayyaama wakaana laubadda min liqaa'ika faawjib lee mina al-jannati manzilan.
Allaahumma yaghbitunee bihi al-awwaloona wal-aakhiroona laa hasrata ba'dahaa walaa rafeeqa ba'da rafeeqihaa waakramihaa manzilan.
Allaahumma al-bisnee khushoo'a al-eemaani bil-'izzi qabla khushoo'i az-zulli fee an-naari uthnee 'alayka rabbi ahsana ath-thanaa'i lianna balaa'aka 'indee ahsana al-balaa'i. auto
O Allah if You bestow mercy on me then my faith is good, and if Your wrath descends on me then it is the result of my oppression, tyranny and excesses done on myself. Neither I have an opportunity to offer an excuse nor I think of a way to amend it. O Allah! When death approaches me and my days are over because it is necessary to be present in Your presence. You will surely place me in Paradise. O Allah! The present and the past dependents will after which there will be no repentance and after this friendship there will be no friends, and make my place in the Heaven, honourable. O Allah! Clothe me with the dress of faith and honour, before the degradation and humiliation in hell. O Allah! I praise You a lot so that my examination becomes easy.
خدا وندا! اگر مجھ پر رحم فرمائے گا تو میرا اعتقاد اتناہی اچھا ہے، اور اگر عذاب میں مبتلا کرے گا تو وہ میرے ظلم و ستم، میرے جرم اور اپنے اوپر زیادتی کا نتیجہ ہے، نہ مجھے اس میں کسی عذر پیش کرنے کا موقعہ ہے، نہ میرے خیال میں اس کی کوئی تلافی ہے۔ خدایا! جب موت آجائے اور دن ختم ہو جائیں، کیونکہ تیرے یہاں حاضری تو بہرحال ضروری ہے تو مجھے جنت میں جگہ ضرور دینا۔ خدا وندا! اگلے پچھلے لواحقین اس عطا پر رشک کریں جس کے بعد نہ حسرت ہو نہ اس رفاقت کے بعد کوئی رفیق ہو، اور جنت میں میری منزل کو معزّز فرما۔ خدا وندا! مجھے عزّت کے ساتھ ایمان کی فروتنی سے ملبوس فرما۔ قبل اس کے کہ ذلّت کی عاجزی جہنم میں نصیب ہو۔ پروردگارا! میں تیری بہتر سے بہتر حمد و ثنا اس لئے کرتا ہوں کہ تیری آزمائشیں میرے لئے بہترین آزمائشیں ہیں۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ فَاَذِقْنِيْ مِنْ عَوْنِكَ وَتَايِيْدِكَ وَتَوْفِيْقِكَ وَرِفْدِكَ وَارْزُقْنِيْ شَوْقًا اِلٰى لِقَاۗئِكَ وَنَصْرًا فِيْ نَصْرِكَ حَتّٰى اَجِدُ حَلَاوَةَ ذٰلِكَ فِيْ قَلْبِيْ وَاعْزِمْ عَلٰى اَرْشَدِ اُمُوْرِيْ فَقَدْ تَرٰى مَوْقِفِيْ وَمَوْقِفَ اَصْحَابِيْ وَلَا يَخْفٰى عَلَيْكَ شَيْءٌ مِنْ اَمْرِيْ۔ اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّيْ اَسْئَلُكَ النَّصْرَ الَّذِيْ نَصَرْتَ بِهٖ رَسُوْلَكَ وَفَرَّقْتَ بِهٖ بَيْنَ الْحَقِّ وَالْبَاطِلِ حَتّٰى اَقَمْتَ بِهٖ دِيْنَكَ وَاَفْلَحْتَ بِهٖ حُجَّتَكَ يَا مَنْ هُوَ لِيْ فِيْ كُلِّ مَقَامٍ۔
Allaahumma faaziqnee min 'awnika wataayeedika watawfeeqika warifdika warzuqnee shawqan ilaa liqaa'ika wanasran fee nasrika hattaa ajidu halaawata zaalika fee qalbee wa'zim 'alaa arshadi umooree faqad taraa mawqifee wamawqifa ashaabee walaa yakhfaa 'alayka shay'un min amree.
Allaahumma innee as'aluka an-nasra allazee nasarta bihee rasoolaka wafarraqta bihee bayna al-haqqi wal-baatili hattaa aqamta bihee deenaka waaflahta bihee hujjataka yaa man huwa lee fee kulli maqaamin. auto
O Allah! Bestow upon me Your help, Your support, Your grace and Your bounties. Bestow upon me the love of Your meeting, grant me success by Your help, that I taste it in my heart and I have the desire to change my companions because You are attentive and listening to me and my companions and no affair of mine is hidden from You. O Allah! I ask from You the help which You have bestowed on Your Prophets by which they differentiated between truth and falsehood, by which religion was perfected and Your Proof (Holy Prophet) was successful. O the one who is with me at all the places!
خدا وندا! مجھے اپنی مدد، تائید، توفیق اور انعام سے لذّت یاب فرما، اپنی ملاقات کا شوق، اپنی مدد سے ایسی کامیابی مرحمت کر کہ اپنے دل میں اس کی لذّت محصوس کروں اور اپنے دُرست ترین معاملات کا ارادہ رکھوں، کیونکہ تو میری اور میرے ساتھیوں کا موقف ملاحظہ فرما رہا ہے اور میری کوئی بات تجھ سے مخفی نہیں۔ خدایا! میں تجھ سے تیری وہ مدد طلب کرتا ہوں جس سے تونے اپنے رسول کو سرفراز فرمایا، اور جس کے ذریعے حق و باطل میں امتیاز پیدا کیا، یہاں تک کہ دین کو استوار اور اپنی حجت (رسول) کو کامیاب فرما دیا، اے وہ معبود! جو میرے ساتھ ہر منزل میں ہے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allahumma swalle alaa muhammadiw wa aale muhammadin
Allah’s (s.w.t) choicest blessings be upon Mohammed and his holy progeny.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آل ؑپر۔
