کنجُ العرش
The reciter asks Allah by His Name, and the supplication is largely a description of what the text holds that Name to do. At its mention the heavens tremble, the earths split apart, the mountains crack, the seas diminish, hearts tremble, feet slip and the angels prostrate, and all creation yields to it. The text then sets the Name against each part of creation in turn: paradise brought near, the fire kindled, the sky upheld without pillar or support, the stars adorned, the sun made to shine and the moon to give light, the earth made firm, the mountains anchored and the clouds made to pour rain.
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّیْ اَسْئَلُكَ بِاسْمِكَ الَّذِیْ اِذَا ذُكِرْتَ بِهٖ تَزَعْزَعَتْ مِنْهُ السَّمَاوَاتُ وَانْشَقَّتْ مِنْهُ الْاَرْضُوْنَ وَتَقَطَّعَتْ مِنْهُ السَّحَابِ وَتَصَدَّعَتْ مِنْهُ الْجِبَالَ وَجَرَتْ مِنْهُ الرِّيَاحَ وَانْتَقَصَتْ مِنْهُ الْبِحَارُ وَاضْطَرَبَتْ مِنْهُ الْاَمْوَاجُ وَغَارَتْ مِنْهُ النُّفُوْسُ وَوَجِلَتْ مِنْهُ الْقُلُوْبُ وَزَلَّتْ مِنْهُ الْاَقْدَامُ وَصُمَّتْ مِنْهُ الْآذَانُ وَشَخَصَتْ مِنْهُ الْاَبْصَارُ وَخَشَعَتْ مِنْهُ الْاَصْوَاتُ وَخَضَعَتْ لَهُ الرِّقَابُ وَقَامَتْ لَهُ الْاَرْوَاحُ وَسَجَدَتْ لَهُ الْمَلَائِكةُ وَسَجَّتْ لَهٗ وَارْتَعَدَتْ لَهُ الْفَرَائِصُ وَاهْتُزَّ لَهُ الْعَرْشِ وَدَانَتْ لَهُ الْخَلَائِقُ وَبِالْاِسْمِ الَّذِیْ وُضِعَ عَلَی الْجَنَّةِ فَازْلِفَتْ وَعَلَی الْجَحِيْمِ فَسُعِّرَتْ وَعَلَی النَّارِ فَتَوَقَّدَتْ وَعَلَی السَّمَاءِ فَاسْتَقَلَّتْ وَقَامَتْ بِلَا عَمَدٍ وَلَا سَنَدٍ وَعَلَی النُّجُوْمِ فَتَزَيَّنَتْ وَعَلَی الشَّمْسِ فَاَشْرَقَتْ وَعَلَی الْقَمَرِفَاَنَارَ وَاَضَاءَ وَعَلَی الْاَرْضِ فَاسْتَقَرَّتْ وَعَلَی الْجِبَالِ فَاَرْسَتْ وَعَلَی الرِّيَاحِ فَذَرَتْ وَعَلَی السَّحَابِ فَامْطَرَتْ وَعَلَی الْمَلَاءِكةِ فَسَبَّحَتْ وَعَلَی الْآنْسِ وَالْجِنِّ فَاَجَابَتْ وَعَلَی الطَّيْرِ وَالنَّمْلِ فَتَكَلَّمَتْ وَعَلَی اللَّيْلِ فَاظْلَمَ وَعَلَی النَّهَارِ فَاسْتَنَارَ وَعَلٰی كُلِّ شَیْءٍ فَسَبَّحَ۔
Allaahumma innee as-aloka bismekal lazee ezaa zokirta behi taza’za-a’t minhus samaawaato wanshaqqat minhul arzoona wa taqatta’t minhus sahaabe wa tasadda’t minhul jebaala wa jarat minhur reyaaha wan taqasat minhul behaaro waztarabat minhul amwaajo wa ghaarat minhun nofooso wa wajelat minhul qoloobo wa zallat minhul aqdaamo wa summat minhul aazaano wa sakhasat minhul absaaro wa khasha-a’t minhul aswaatu wakhaza-a’t lahur reqaabo wa qaamat lahul arwaaho wa sajadat lahul malaa-ekato wa sajjat lahu warta-a’dat lahul faraa-eso wahtuzza lahul a’rshe wa daanat lahul khalaaeqo wa bil ismil lazee wozea’ a’lal jannate fa-azlefat wa a’lal jaheeme faso’e’rat wa a’lan naare fatawaqqadat wa a’las samaaa-e fastaqallat wa qaamat belaa a’madinw wa laa sanadinw wa a’lan nojoome fatazayyanat wa a’lash shamse fa-ashraqat wa a’lal qamare fa-anaara wa azaa-a wa a’lal arze fastaqarrat wa a’lal jebaale fa-arsat wa a’lar reyaahe fazarat wa a’las sahaabe fa-amtarat wa a’lal malaa-ekate fasabbahat wa a’lal inse wal jinne fa-ajaabat wa a’lat tayre wan namle fatakal lamat wa a’lal layle fazlama wa a’lan nahaare fastanaara wa a’laa kulle shay-in fasabbaha.
O Allah, I ask You by Your Name such a Name that when You are mentioned by it, the heavens tremble, the earths split apart, the clouds are torn asunder, the mountains crack, the winds are set in motion, the seas diminish and the waves are shaken; souls recoil, hearts tremble, feet slip, ears are deafened, eyes stare; voices become humbled, necks submit, spirits rise, and the angels prostrate to it; limbs quiver, the Throne shakes for it, and all creation yields to it. And by the Name which, when placed upon Paradise, it is brought near; and when placed upon Hell, it is kindled; and when placed upon the Fire, it blazes; and when placed upon the sky, it is upheld and stands without pillar or support; and when placed upon the stars, they are adorned; and when placed upon the sun, it shines; and when placed upon the moon, it gives light and radiance; and when placed upon the earth, it is made firm; and when placed upon the mountains, they are set and anchored; and when placed upon the winds, they scatter; and when placed upon the clouds, they pour rain; and when placed upon the angels, they glorify; and when placed upon humankind and jinn, they respond; and when placed upon the birds and ants, they speak; and when placed upon the night, it becomes dark; and when placed upon the day, it becomes bright; and when placed upon everything, it glorifies.
اے اللہ! میں تجھ سے تیرے اُس نام کے وسیلے سے سوال کرتا ہوں کہ جب اُس نام کے ساتھ تجھے پکارا جائے تو آسمان لرز اٹھتے ہیں، زمینیں پھٹ جاتی ہیں، بادل ٹکڑے ٹکڑے ہو جاتے ہیں، پہاڑ شق ہو جاتے ہیں، ہوائیں چل پڑتی ہیں، سمندر گھٹنے لگتے ہیں اور موجیں بے قرار ہو جاتی ہیں۔ روحیں کانپ اٹھتی ہیں، دل خوف سے لرز جاتے ہیں، قدم ڈگمگا جاتے ہیں، کان سن ہو جاتے ہیں، آنکھیں حیرت سے کھل جاتی ہیں۔ آوازیں دب جاتی ہیں، گردنیں جھک جاتی ہیں، ارواح کھڑی ہو جاتی ہیں، فرشتے سجدہ کرتے ہیں، بدن کے رگ و ریشے لرز جاتے ہیں، عرش ہل جاتا ہے، اور ساری مخلوق اس کے آگے جھک جاتی ہے۔ اور میں تجھ سے اُس نام کے وسیلے سے سوال کرتا ہوں جسے جب جنت پر رکھا گیا تو وہ قریب کر دی گئی، اور جب جہنم پر رکھا گیا تو وہ بھڑکا دی گئی، اور جب آگ پر رکھا گیا تو وہ بھڑک اٹھی۔ اور جب آسمان پر رکھا گیا تو وہ قائم رہا، نہ کسی ستون کے سہارے سے نہ کسی ٹیک کے ساتھ۔ اور جب ستاروں پر رکھا گیا تو وہ سجے، اور جب سورج پر رکھا گیا تو وہ چمک اٹھا، اور جب چاند پر رکھا گیا تو وہ روشن ہوا اور نور پھیل گیا۔ اور جب زمین پر رکھا گیا تو وہ ٹھہر گئی، اور جب پہاڑوں پر رکھا گیا تو وہ مضبوطی سے جم گئے۔ اور جب ہواؤں پر رکھا گیا تو وہ پھیل گئیں، اور جب بادلوں پر رکھا گیا تو وہ برس پڑے۔ اور جب فرشتوں پر رکھا گیا تو انہوں نے تسبیح کی، اور جب انسانوں اور جنّوں پر رکھا گیا تو انہوں نے جواب دیا۔ اور جب پرندوں اور چیونٹیوں پر رکھا گیا تو وہ بول پڑے۔ اور جب رات پر رکھا گیا تو وہ تاریک ہوئی، اور جب دن پر رکھا گیا تو وہ روشن ہوا۔ اور جب ہر چیز پر رکھا گیا تو اس نے تسبیح کی۔
وَبِالْاِسْمِ الَّذِیْ اَسْتَقَرَّتْ بِهِ الْاَرْضُوْنَ عَلٰی قَرَارِهَا وَالْجِبَالُ عَلٰی اَمَاكِنِهَا وَالْبِحَارُ عَلٰی حُدُوْدِهَا وَالْاَسْجَارُ عَلٰی عُرُوْقِهَا وَالنُّجُوْمُ عَلٰی مَجَارِيْهَا وَالسَّمَاوَاتُ عَلٰی بِنَائِهَا وَ حَمَلَتِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ عَرْشَ الرَّحْمٰنِ بِقُدْرَةِ رَبِّهَا وَبِالْاِسْمِ الْقُدُّوْسِ الْقَدِيْمِ الْمُتَقَدِّمِ الْمُخْتَارِ الْجَبَّارِ الْمُتَكَبِّرِ الْكَبِيْرِ الْمُتَعَظِّمِ الْعَزِيْزِ الْمُهَيْمِنِ الْمَلِكِ الْمُقْتَدِرِ الْقَدِيْرِ الْقَادِرِ الْحَمِيْدِ الْمَجِيْدِ الصَّمَدِ الْمُتَوَحِّدِ الْمُتَفَرِّدِ الْكَبِيْرِ الْمُتَعَظِّمِ الْمُتَعَالِ وَبِالْاِسْمِ الْمَخْزُوْنِ الْمَكْنُوْنِ فِيْ عِلْمِهِ الْمُحِيْطِ بِعَرْشِهِ الطَّاهِرِ المُطَهَّرِ الْمُبَارَكِ الْقُدُّوْسِ السَّلَامِ الْمُؤْمِنِ الْمُهَيْمِنِ الْعَزِيْزِ الْجَبَّارِ الْمُتَكَبِّرِ الْخَالِقِ الْبَارِئِ الْمُصَوِّرِ الْاَوَّلِ الْآخِرِ الظَّاهِرِ الْبَاطِنِ الْكَائِنِ قَبْلَ كُلِّ شَیْءٍ وَالْمُكَوِّنِ لِكُلِّ شَیْءٍ وَالْكَائِنِ بَعْدَ فَنَاءِ كُلِّ شَیْءٍ لَمْ يَزَلْ وَلَا يَزَالُ وَلَا يَفْنٰی وَلَا يَتَغَيَّرُ نُوْرٌ فِيْ نُوْرٍ وَعَلٰی نَوْرٍ فَوْقَ كُلِّ نُوْرٍ وَنُوْرٌ يُضِيْءُ بِهٖ كُلِّ نُوْرٍ۔
Wa bil ismil lazis taqarrat behil arazoona a’laa qaraarehaa wal jebaalo a’laa amaakenehaa wal behaaro a’laa hodoodehaa wal ashjaaro a’laa o’rooqehaa wan nojoomo a’laa majaareehaa was samaawaato a’laa benaa-ehaa wa hamalatil malaa-ekato a’rshar rahmaane bequdrate rabbehaa wa bil ismil quddoosil qadeemil motaqaddemil mukhtaaril jabbaaril motakabberil kabeeril mota-azzemil a’zeezil mohaymenil malekil muqtaderil qadeeril qaaderil hameedil majeedis samadil motawahhedil motafarredil kabeeril mota-a’zzemil mota-a’ale wa bilismil makhzoonil maknoone fee i’lmehil moheete be a’rshehit taaheril mobaarakil quddoosis salaamil moa-menil mohaymenil a’zeezil jabbaaril motakabberil khaaleqil baare-il mosawweril awwalil aakheriz zaaheril baatenil kaa-ene qabla kulle shay-inw wal mokawwene lekulle shay-in wal kaa-ene ba’da fanaa-e kulle shay-il lam yazal wa laa yazaalo wa laa yafnaa wa laa yataghayyaro noorun fee noorinw wa a’laa noorin fawqa kulle noorinw wa noorun yozee-o behi kulle noor.
And by the Name through which the earths have become settled upon their foundation, the mountains upon their places, the seas within their bounds, the trees upon their roots, the stars upon their courses, and the heavens upon their structure; and by which the angels carried the Throne of the Most Merciful by the power of their Lord. And by the Name: the Most Holy, the Eternal, the Foremost, the Chosen, the Compeller, the Supremely Great, the Most Majestic, the Mighty, the Guardian, the King, the All-Powerful, the Powerful, the Able, the Praiseworthy, the Glorious, the Ever-Needed, the One, the Unique, the Singular, the Most Great, the Most Majestic, the Most Exalted. And by the hidden, treasured Name kept and concealed within His all-encompassing knowledge surrounding His pure, purified, blessed Throne; the Most Holy, the Source of Peace, the Giver of security, the Guardian, the Mighty, the Compeller, the Supreme; the Creator, the Maker, the Fashioner; the First, the Last, the Manifest, the Hidden; the One who exists before everything, the One who brings everything into being, and the One who remains after the passing away of everything He has never ceased, never ceases, never perishes, and never changes: Light within Light, and upon Light, above every light a Light by which every light is illuminated.
اور اُس نام کے وسیلے سے (سوال کرتا ہوں) جس کے سبب زمینیں اپنے ٹھکانے پر ٹھہر گئیں، پہاڑ اپنی جگہ مضبوطی سے جم گئے، سمندر اپنی حدوں میں قائم رہے، درخت اپنی جڑوں پر قائم رہے، ستارے اپنے مدار میں چلتے رہے، اور آسمان اپنی بناوٹ پر قائم رہے۔ اور اسی (قدرت) سے فرشتوں نے اپنے رب کی طاقت کے ساتھ رحمان کے عرش کو اٹھایا۔ اور اُس پاک نام کے وسیلے سے: جو قدیم ہے، سب سے پہلے ہے، منتخب ہے، زبردست ہے، بڑائی والا ہے، نہایت عظمت والا ہے، غالب ہے، نگہبان ہے، بادشاہ ہے، بہت قدرت والا ہے، قادر ہے، قابلِ تعریف ہے، بزرگی والا ہے، سب کی حاجت پوری کرنے والا ہے، ایک ہے، یکتا ہے، بے مثال ہے، بہت بڑا ہے، بہت عظمت والا ہے، سب سے بلند ہے۔ اور اُس چھپے ہوئے، خزانے میں رکھے ہوئے نام کے وسیلے سے جو اُس کے محیط علم میں محفوظ ہے، اور اُس کے پاک، پاکیزہ، بابرکت عرش کو گھیرے ہوئے ہے وہی پاک ذات ہے، سلامتی دینے والا ہے، امن دینے والا ہے، نگہبان ہے، غالب ہے، زبردست ہے، بڑائی والا ہے؛ پیدا کرنے والا ہے، وجود میں لانے والا ہے، صورت بنانے والا ہے؛ اول ہے، آخر ہے، ظاہر ہے، باطن ہے؛ ہر چیز سے پہلے موجود تھا، ہر چیز کو پیدا کرنے والا ہے، اور ہر چیز کے فنا ہو جانے کے بعد بھی باقی رہے گا۔ وہ ہمیشہ سے ہے اور ہمیشہ رہے گا، نہ فنا ہوتا ہے نہ بدلتا ہے۔ وہ نور ہی نور ہے نور کے اندر نور، نور پر نور، ہر نور سے اوپر نور اور ایسا نور کہ ہر نور اسی سے روشن ہوتا ہے۔
وَبِالْآسْمِ الَّذِیْ سَمّٰی بِهٖ نَفْسَهٗ وَاسْتَوٰی بِهِ عَلَی الْعَرْشِ فَاسْتَقَرَّ بِهٖ عَلٰی كُرْسِيِّهٖ وَخَلَقَ بِهٖ مَلَاءِكَتَهٗ وَسَمَاوَاتِهٖ وَاَرْضَهٗ وَجَنَّتَهٗ وَنَارَهٗ وَابْتَدَعَ بِهٖ خَلْقَهٗ وَاحِدًا اَحَدًا فَرْدًا صَمَدًا كَبِيْرًا مُتَكَبِّرًا عَظِيْمًا مُتَعَظِّمًا عَزِيْزًا مَلِيْكًا مُقْتَدِرًا قُدُّوْسًا مُتَقَدِّسًا لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُوْلَدْ وَلَمْ يَكنْ لَّهٗ كُفُوًا اَحَدٌ وَبِالْاِسْمِ الَّذِیْ لَمْ يَكُتُبْهُ لِاَحَدٍ مِّنْ خَلْقِهٖ صَدَقَ الصَّادِقُوْنَ وَكَذَبَ الْكَاذِبُوْنَ، وَبِالْاِسْمِ الَّذِيْ هُوَ مَكْتُوْبٌ فِيْ رَاحَةِ مَلِكِ الْمَوْتِ الَّذِيْ اِذَانَظَرَتِ وَاِلَيْهِ الْاَرْوَاحُ تَطَاَيْرَتِ، وَبِالْاِسْمِ الَّذِيْ هُوَ مَكْتُوْبٌ عَلٰی سُرَادِقِ عَرْشِهٖ مِنْ نُوْرٍ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اللهُ مُحَمَّدَ رَّسُوْلُ اللهِ وَبِالْآسْمِ الْمَكْتُوْبِ فِيْ سُرَادِقِ الْمَجْدِ، وَبِالْآسْمِ الْمَكْتُوْبِ فِيْ سُرَادِقِ الْبَهَاءِ، وَبِالْآسْمِ الْمَكْتُوْبِ فِيْ سُرَادِقِ الْعَظَمَةِ، وَبِالْآسْمِ الْمَكْتُوْبِ فِيْ سُرَادِقِ الْجَلَالِ، وَبِالْآسْمِ الْمَكْتُوْبِ فِيْ سُرَادِقِ الْعِزِّ وَبِالْآسْمِ الْمَكْتُوْبِ فِيْ سُرَادِقِ الْجَمَالِ الْخَالِقِ الْبَاعِثِ النَّصِيْرِ رَبِّ الْمَلَآئِكَةِ الثَّمَانِيَةِ وَرَبِّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيْمِ وَبِالْآسْمِ الْاَكْبَرِ الْاَكْبَرِ وَبِالْآسْمِ الْاَعْظَمِ الْمُحِيْطِ بِمَلَكُوْتِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْآرْضِ، وَبِالْآسْمِ الَّذِىْ اَشْرَقَتْ بِهِ الشَّمْسُ وَاَضَاءَ بِهِ الْقَمَرُ وَسُجِّرَتْ بِهِ الْبِحَارُ وَنُصِبَتْ بِهِ الْجِبَالُ، وَبِالْآسْمِ الَّذِیْ قَامَ بِهِ الْعَرْشُ وَالْكُرْسِىُّ وَبِالْآسْمَاءِ الْمُقَدَّسَاتِ الْمَخْزُنَاتِ الْمَكْنُوْنَاتِ فِيْ عِلْمِ الْغَيْبِ عِنْدَهٗ۔
Wa bil ismil lazee sammaa behi nafsahu wastawaa behi a’lal a’rshe fastaqarra behi a’laa kursiyyehi wa khalaqa behi malaa-ekatahu wa samaawaatehi wa arzahu wa jannatahu wa naarahu wabtada-a’ behi khalqahu waahedan ahadan fardan samadan kabeeram motakabberan a’zeeman mota-azzeman a’zeezan maleekan muqtaderan quddoosan motaqaddesal lam yalid wa lam yoolad wa lam yakul lahu kofowan ahad wa bil ismil lazee lam yaktub-ho le ahadim min khalqehi sadaqas saadeqoona wa kazabal kaazeboona wa bil ismil lazee howa maktoobun fee raahate malakil mawtil lazee ezaa nazarat wa elayhil arwaaho tataayarat wa bil ismil lazee howa maktoobun a’laa soraadeqe a’rshehi min nooril laa elaaha illal laaho mohammadun rasoolul laahe wa bil ismil maktoobe fee soraadeqil majde wa bil ismil maktoobe fee soraadeqil bahaa-e wa bil ismil maktoobe fee soraadeqil a’zamah.
Wa bil ismil maktoobe fee soraadeqil jalaal wa bil ismil maktoobe fee soraadeqe i’zze wa bil ismil maktoobe fee jamaalil khaaleqil baa-esin naseere rabbil malaa-ekatis samaaneyate wa rabbil a’rshil a’zeeme wa bil ismil akbaril akbar wa bil ismil aa’zamil moheete bemalakootis samaawaate wal arz.
Wa bil ismil lazee ashraqat behish shamso wa azaa-a behil qamaro wa sujjerat behil behaaro wa nosebat behil jebaal.
Wa bil ismil lazee qaama behil a’rsho wal kursiyyo wa bil asmaail moqaddasaatil makhzoonaatil maknoonaate fee i’lmil ghaybe i’ndahu.
And by the Name by which He named Himself, and by which He established Himself upon the Throne, and by which He became firmly set upon His Kursi; and by which He created His angels, His heavens, His earth, His Paradise, and His Fire; and by which He originated His creation One, Unique, Single, Ever-Needed, Great, Supreme, Magnificent, Most Majestic, Mighty, Sovereign, All-Powerful, Most Holy, Most Pure: He neither begets nor is begotten, and none is comparable to Him. And by the Name which He did not write for anyone among His creation so the truthful have spoken the truth and the liars have lied. And by the Name written in the palm of the Angel of Death: when he looks at it, the souls fly forth toward him. And by the Name written upon the canopy of His Throne in light: “There is no god but Allah; Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.” And by the Name written in the pavilion of Glory; and by the Name written in the pavilion of Splendour; and by the Name written in the pavilion of Majesty; and by the Name written in the pavilion of Grandeur; and by the Name written in the pavilion of Might; and by the Name written in the pavilion of Beauty (the Name of) the Creator, the Resurrector, the Helper; the Lord of the eight angels and the Lord of the Mighty Throne. And by the Greatest of the Greatest Name, and by the Most Supreme Name that encompasses the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And by the Name by which the sun shone and the moon gave light, by which the seas were set ablaze and the mountains were set up. And by the Name by which the Throne and the Kursi stand. And by the sacred Names treasured, hidden, and concealed kept with Him in the knowledge of the unseen.
اور اُس نام کے وسیلے سے (سوال کرتا ہوں) جس نام سے اُس نے اپنے آپ کو پکارا، اور اسی کے ساتھ عرش پر جلوہ فرما ہوا، پھر اسی کے ساتھ اپنے کرسی پر استقرار فرمایا۔ اور اسی نام سے اپنے فرشتوں، اپنے آسمانوں، اپنی زمین، اپنی جنت اور اپنی آگ (جہنم) کو پیدا فرمایا۔ اور اسی کے ذریعے اپنی مخلوق کی ابتدا کی وہ اکیلا، یکتا، بے نیاز، بہت بڑا، بڑائی والا، بہت عظیم، نہایت عظمت والا، غالب، بادشاہ، بہت قدرت والا، نہایت پاک اور پاکیزہ؛ نہ اُس نے کسی کو جنا، نہ وہ جنا گیا، اور نہ کوئی اُس کا ہمسر ہے۔ اور اُس نام کے وسیلے سے جو اُس نے اپنی مخلوق میں سے کسی کے لیے لکھا ہی نہیں سچے سچے ہیں اور جھوٹے جھوٹے۔ اور اُس نام کے وسیلے سے جو ملک الموت (فرشتۂ موت) کی ہتھیلی پر لکھا ہے جب وہ اسے دیکھتا ہے تو روحیں (بدنوں سے) اڑنے لگتی ہیں۔ اور اُس نام کے وسیلے سے جو اس کے عرش کے پردوں (سایہ دار حصار) پر نور کی صورت میں لکھا ہے: لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اللهُ، مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ اور اُس نام کے وسیلے سے جو سُرادِقِ مجد میں لکھا ہے، اور جو سُرادِقِ بہاء میں لکھا ہے، اور جو سُرادِقِ عظمت میں لکھا ہے، اور جو سُرادِقِ جلال میں لکھا ہے، اور جو سُرادِقِ عزت میں لکھا ہے، اور جو سُرادِقِ جمال میں لکھا ہے وہی خالق ہے، دوبارہ اٹھانے والا ہے، مددگار ہے؛ آٹھ فرشتوں کے رب ہے اور عرشِ عظیم کا رب ہے۔ اور اسمِ اکبر کے وسیلے سے سب سے بڑا نام اور اسمِ اعظم کے وسیلے سے جو آسمانوں اور زمین کی بادشاہت (ملکوت) کو گھیرے ہوئے ہے۔ اور اُس نام کے وسیلے سے جس کے ساتھ سورج چمکا، چاند روشن ہوا، سمندر بھڑکا دیے گئے، اور پہاڑ قائم کر دیے گئے۔ اور اُس نام کے وسیلے سے جس کے ساتھ عرش اور کرسی قائم ہیں۔ اور اُن پاک، مقدس ناموں کے وسیلے سے جو خزانے میں رکھے گئے، چھپائے گئے، اور اُس کے پاس علمِ غیب میں محفوظ ہیں۔
وَبِالْآسْمِ الَّذِیْ كَتِبَ عَلٰی وَرَقِ الزَّيْتُوْنِ فَاَلْقِىَ بِهٖ فِيْ النَّارِ فَلَمْ يَحْتَرِقَ وَبِالْاِسْمِ الَّذِیْ مَشٰی بِهِ الْخَضَرَ عَلَی الْمَاءِ فَلَمْ يَبْتَلَ قَدَمَاهٗ وَبِالْاِسْمِ الَّذِىْ تُفْتَحُ بِهِ السَّمَآءِ وَبِهٖ يُفَرِّقُ كُلُّ اَمْرٍ حَكِيْمٍ، وَبِالْاِسْمِ الَّذِیْ ضَرَبَ بِهٖ مُوْسٰی بِعَصَاهُ الْبَحْرَ فَانْفَلَقَ فَكَانَ كَاطَّوْدِ الْعَظِيْمِ وَبِالْاَسْمِ الَّذِیْ كَانَ عِيْسَی بْنُ مَرْيَمَ يَحْيِيْ بِهِ الْمَوْتَیْ وَيُبْرِئُ بِهِ الْاَكْمَهَ وَالْاَبْرَصَ بِاِذْنِ اللهِ وَ بِالْاَسْمَاءِ الَّتِىْ يَدْعُوْ بِهَا جَبْرَائِيْلَ وَاِسْرَافِيْلَ وَمِيْكَائِيْلَ وَعِزْرَائِيْلَ وَحَمَلَةُ الْعَرْشِ وَالْكُرُّوْبِيُّوْنَ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهُمْ مِنَ الْمَلَائِكةِ وَالرُّوْحَانِيُّوْنَ الصَّافُوْنَ الْمُسَبِّحُوْنَ وَبِاَسْمَائِهِ الَّتِیْ لَا تُنْسٰی وَبِوَجْهِهِ الَّذِىْ لَا يَبْلٰی وَبِنُوْرِهِ الَّذِىْ لَا يُطْفٰی وَبِعِزَّتِهِ الَّتِىْ لَا تُرَامُ وَبِقُدْرَتِهِ الَّتِىْ لَا تُنْسٰی وَبِوَجْهِهِ الَّذِىْ لَا يَبْلٰی وَبِنُوْرِهِ الَّذِیْ لَا يُطْفٰی وَبِعِزَّتِهِ الَّتِىْ لَا تُرَامُ وَبِقُدْرَتِهِ الَّتِيْ لَا تُضَامُ وَبِمُلْكِهِ الَّذِىْ لَا يَزُوْلُ وَبِسُلْطَانِهِ الَّذِیْ لَا يَتَغَيَّرُ وَبِالْعَرْشِ الَّذِیْ لَا يَتَحَرَّكُ وَبِالْكُرْسِیِّ الَّذِىْ لَا يَزُوْلَ وَبِالْعَيْنِ الَّتِيْ لَا تَنَامُ۔
Wa bil ismil lazee koteba a’laa waraqiz zaytoone fa-alqeya behi fin naare falam yahtariq.
Wa bil ismil lazee mashaa behil khazara a’lal maa-e falam yabtala qadamaah.
Wa bil ismil lazee tuftaho behis samaa-e wa behi yofarreqo kullo amrin hakeem.
Wa bil ismil lazee zaraba behi moosaa bea’saahul bahra fanfalaqa fakaana kattawdil a’zeem wa bil ismil lazee kaana e’e’sabno maryama yohyee behil mawta wa yubre-o behil akmaha wal abrasa be-iznil laahe wa bil asmaa-il latee yad-o’o’ behaa jabra-eela wa israafeela wa meekaaa-eela wa izraa-eela wa hamatul a’rshe wal karroobiyyoon wa man hawlahum menal malaaekate war roohaaniyyoonas saaffoonal mosabbehoona wa be asmaa-ehil latee laa tunsaa wa be waj-hehil lazee laa yablaa wa noorehil lazee laa yutfaa wa be i’zzatehil latee laa toraamo wa bequdratehil latee laa tozaamo wa bemulkehil lazee laa yazoolo wa besult’aanehil lazee yataghayyaro wa bil a’rshil lazee laa yataharrako wa bil kursiyyil laazee laa yazoola wa bil a’ynil latee laa tanaamo.
And by the Name that was written upon a leaf of the olive tree then it was thrown into the fire, yet it did not burn; and by the Name by which al-Khizr walked upon water and his feet did not get wet; and by the Name by which the heaven is opened, and by which every wise decree is set apart; and by the Name by which Moosa struck the sea with his staff, and it split, becoming like a great towering mountain; and by the Name by which Eesa son of Maryam used to give life to the dead and heal the blind and the leper, by Allah’s permission. And by the Names by which Jibraeel, Israafil, Meekaail, Izraail, the bearers of the Throne, the cherubim, those around them among the angels, and the spiritual beings standing in ranks and glorifying (Allah) call upon Him. And by His Names that are never forgotten; and by His Face that never wears away; and by His Light that is never extinguished; and by His Might that cannot be overcome; and by His Power that is never forgotten; and by His Power that is never diminished; and by His Dominion that never passes away; and by His Authority that never changes; and by the Throne that does not move; and by the Kursī that does not vanish; and by the Eye that does not sleep.
اور اُس نام کے وسیلے سے جو زیتون کے پتے پر لکھا گیا، پھر اسے آگ میں ڈالا گیا مگر وہ نہ جلا۔ اور اُس نام کے وسیلے سے جس کے ساتھ خضرؑ پانی پر چلے تو ان کے پاؤں نہ بھیگے۔ اور اُس نام کے وسیلے سے جس کے ساتھ آسمان کھولا جاتا ہے، اور جس کے ذریعے ہر حکمت والا حکم جدا کر دیا جاتا ہے۔ اور اُس نام کے وسیلے سے جس کے ساتھ موسیٰؑ نے اپنی لاٹھی سے سمندر پر ضرب لگائی تو وہ پھٹ گیا اور بڑے بڑے پہاڑ کی طرح دو حصے ہو گیا۔ اور اُس نام کے وسیلے سے جس کے ساتھ عیسیٰ ابنِ مریمؑ اللہ کے حکم سے مردوں کو زندہ کرتے تھے اور مادرزاد اندھے اور کوڑھی کو شفا دیتے تھے۔ اور اُن ناموں کے وسیلے سے جن کے ساتھ جبرائیلؑ، اسرافیلؑ، میکائیلؑ، عزرائیلؑ، عرش و کرسی کو اٹھانے والے فرشتے، مقرب فرشتے، اور ان کے اردگرد کے فرشتے، اور روحانی صف باندھے ہوئے تسبیح کرنے والے بندے اللہ کو پکارتے ہیں۔ اور اُس کے اُن ناموں کے وسیلے سے جو کبھی نہیں بھولتے؛ اور اُس کے اُس چہرے کے وسیلے سے جو کبھی نہیں مٹتا؛ اور اُس کے اُس نور کے وسیلے سے جو کبھی بجھتا نہیں؛ اور اُس کی اُس عزت کے وسیلے سے جسے کوئی شکست نہیں دے سکتا؛ اور اُس کی اُس قدرت کے وسیلے سے جو کبھی کمزور نہیں ہوتی؛ اور اُس کی اُس بادشاہی کے وسیلے سے جو کبھی ختم نہیں ہوتی؛ اور اُس کے اُس اختیار کے وسیلے سے جو کبھی بدلتا نہیں؛ اور اُس عرش کے وسیلے سے جو جنبش نہیں کرتا؛ اور اُس کرسی کے وسیلے سے جو زائل نہیں ہوتی؛ اور اُس آنکھ کے وسیلے سے جو سوتی نہیں۔
وَبِالْيٰقِظَانِ الَّذِىْ لَا يَسْهُوْ وَبِالْحَىِّ الَّذِیْ لَا يَمُوْتُ وَبِالْقَيُّوْمِ الَّذِىْ لَا تَاْخُذُهٗ سِنَةٌ وَّلَا نَوْمٌ، وَبِالْآسْمِ الَّذِیْ تُسَبِّحُ لَهُ السَّمَاوَاتُ وَالْاَرْضُوْنَ بِاَطْرَافِهَا وَالْبِحَارُ بِاَمْوَاجِهَا وَالْحَيْتَانُ فِيْ بِحَارِهَا وَالْاَشْجَارُ بِاَغْصَانِهَا وَالنُّجُوْمُ بِزِيْنَتِهَا وَالْوُحُوْشُ فِيْ قِفَارِهَا وَالطُّيُّوْرُ فِيْ اَوْكَارِهَا وَالنَّحْلُ فِيْ اَحْجَارِهَا وَالنَّمْلُ فِيْ مَسَاكِنِهَا وَالشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ فِيْ اَفْلَاكِهَا وَكُلُّ شَیْءٍ يُسَبِّحُ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِ فَسُبْحَانَهٗ يُمِيْتُ الْخَلَآئِقَ وَلَا يَمُوْتُ مَا اَبْيَنَ نُوْرَهٗ وَاَكْرَمَ وَجْهَهٗ وَاَجَلَّ ذِكْرَهٗ وَاقْدَسَ قُدْسَهٗ وَاَحْمَدَ حَمْدَهٗ وَاَنْفَدَ اَمْرَهٗ وَاَقْدَرَ قُدْرَتَهٗ عَلٰی مَا يَشَاءُ وَانْجَزَ وَعْدَهٗ تَعَالٰی عَمَّا يَقُوْلُ الظَّالِمُوْنَ عُلُوًّا كَبِيْرًا لَيْسَ لَهٗ شَبِيْهٌ وَلَيْسَ كَمِثْلِهٖ شَیْءٌ لَهُ الْخُلْقُ وَالْاَمْرُ وَتَبَارَكَ اللهُ (اَحْسَنُ الْخَالِقِيْنَ خِلْ) رَبُّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ وَبِالْآسْمِ الَّذِىْ قَرَّبَ بِهٖ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّی اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ حَتّٰی جَاوَزَ سَدْرَةَ الْمُنْتَهٰی فَكَانَ مِنْهُ كَقَابِ قَوْسَيْنِ اَوْ اَدْنٰی، وَبِالْآسْمِ الَّذِیْ جَعَلَ النَّارَ عَلٰی اِبْرَاهِيْمَ بَرْدًا وَّسَلَامًا وَوَهَبَ لَهٗ مِنْ رَّحْمَتِهٖ اِسْحَاقَ وَبِرَحْمَتِهِ الَّذِىْ اَوْتِىَ بِهَا يَعْقُوْبُ الْقَمِيْصَ فَاَلْقَاهُ عَلٰی وَجْهِهٖ فَارْتَدَّ بَصِيْرًا۔
Wa bil yaaqezaanil lazee laa yas-hu wa bil hayyil lazee laa yamooto bil qayyoomil lazee laa taa-khozohu senatun wa laa nawm.
Wa bil ismil lazee tosabbeho lahus samaawaato wal arzoona be-atraafehaa wal behaaro be amwaajehaa wal hayataano fee behaarehaa wal ashjaaro be aghsaaneha wan nojoomo bezeenatehaa wal wohoosho fee qefaarehaa wattoyooro fee awkaarehaa wan nahlo fee ahjaarehaa wan namlo fee masaakenehaa washshamso wal qamaro fee aflaakehaa wa kullo shay-in yosabbeho behamde rabbehi.
Fa subhaana-hu yomeetul khalaa-eqa wa laa yamootu maa abyana noorahu wa akrama waj-hahu wa ajalla zikrahu wa aqdasa qudsahu wa ahmada hamdahu wa anfada amrahu wa aqdara qudratahu a’laa maa yashaa-o wanjaza wa’dahu ta-a’a’la a’mmaa yaqooluz zaalemoona o’luwwan kabeeran laysa lahu shabeehun wa laysa kamislehi shay-un lahul khulqo wal amro wa tabaarakal laaho ahsanul khaaleqeena rabbul a’a’lameena wa bil ismil lazee qarraba behi mohammadin sallal laaho a’layhi wa aalehi hattaa jaawaza sadratal muntahaa fakaana minho kaqaabe qausayne aw adnaa.
Wa bil ismil lazee ja-a’lan naara a’laa ibraaheema bardan wa salaaman wa wahaba lahu menar rahmatehi is-haaqa wa be rahmatehil lazee ooteya behaa ya’qoobul qameesa fa-alqaaho a’laa waj-hehi fartadda baseeraa.
And by the Ever-Wakeful One who never lapses, and by the Ever-Living One who never dies, and by the Sustainer (al-Qayyum) whom neither drowsiness nor sleep overtakes. And by the Name for which the heavens and the earth glorify Him from their farthest ends; and the seas with their waves; and the fish in their seas; and the trees with their branches; and the stars with their adornment; and the wild beasts in their deserts; and the birds in their nests; and the bees in their hives; and the ants in their dwellings; and the sun and the moon in their orbits indeed everything glorifies the praise of its Lord. So glory be to Him: He causes creation to die, yet He does not die. How clear is His light; how noble is His Face; how majestic is His remembrance; how holy is His holiness; how beautiful is His praise; how decisive is His command; and how perfect is His power over whatever He wills. Exalted is He, far above what the wrongdoers say, in great exaltation. He has no equal, and nothing is like Him. To Him belong creation and command. Blessed is Allah, the best of creators, Lord of all the worlds. And by the Name by which Muhammad may Allah bless him and his family was brought near until he passed beyond the Lote Tree of the Utmost Boundary, and he was at a distance of two bow-lengths, or even nearer. And by the Name by which the fire was made coolness and peace for Ibrahim, and by His mercy He granted him Ishaq; and by His mercy, through which Ya‘qub received the shirt, he cast it upon his face and his sight returned.
اور اُس ہمیشہ بیدار (ہستی) کے وسیلے سے جو کبھی غفلت نہیں کرتی، اور اُس ہمیشہ زندہ کے وسیلے سے جو کبھی نہیں مرتی، اور اُس قیّوم کے وسیلے سے جسے نہ اونگھ آتی ہے نہ نیند۔ اور اُس نام کے وسیلے سے جس کے لیے آسمان اور زمین اپنے کناروں تک تسبیح کرتے ہیں، اور سمندر اپنی موجوں کے ساتھ، اور مچھلیاں اپنے سمندروں میں، اور درخت اپنی شاخوں کے ساتھ، اور ستارے اپنی زینت کے ساتھ، اور جنگلی جانور اپنے بیابانوں میں، اور پرندے اپنے گھونسلوں میں، اور شہد کی مکھیاں اپنے چھتّوں (پتھروں) میں، اور چیونٹیاں اپنے ٹھکانوں میں، اور سورج اور چاند اپنے مداروں میں اور ہر چیز اپنے رب کی حمد کے ساتھ تسبیح کرتی ہے۔ پس وہ پاک ہے! وہ مخلوق کو موت دیتا ہے مگر خود نہیں مرتا۔ کیا ہی روشن اُس کا نور ہے، کیا ہی کریم اُس کا چہرہ (ذات) ہے، کیا ہی بلند اُس کا ذکر ہے، کیا ہی پاک اُس کی پاکیزگی ہے، کیا ہی عظیم اُس کی حمد ہے، اور کیا ہی نافذ اُس کا حکم ہے، اور کیا ہی کامل اُس کی قدرت ہے جو کچھ وہ چاہے۔ وہ ظالموں کی باتوں سے بہت بلند ہے۔ اُس کا کوئی ہمسر نہیں، اور کوئی چیز اُس جیسی نہیں۔ اُسی کے لیے تخلیق بھی ہے اور حکم بھی۔ اور اللہ بڑا بابرکت ہے سب سے بہترین پیدا کرنے والا تمام جہانوں کا رب۔ اور اُس نام کے وسیلے سے جس کے ساتھ محمدؐ (پر اللہ اور اُن کی آل پر درود ہو) کو قرب عطا کیا گیا یہاں تک کہ وہ سدرة المنتہیٰ سے آگے بڑھ گئے، پھر (قرب ایسا ہوا کہ) دو کمانوں کے برابر بلکہ اس سے بھی زیادہ قریب ہو گئے۔ اور اُس نام کے وسیلے سے جس نے ابراہیمؑ پر آگ کو ٹھنڈا اور سلامتی بنا دیا، اور اپنی رحمت سے انہیں اسحاقؑ عطا فرمایا؛ اور اپنی اسی رحمت کے وسیلے سے یعقوبؑ کو وہ قمیص (یوسفؑ کی) پہنچائی، پھر انہوں نے اسے اپنے چہرے پر ڈالا تو ان کی بینائی واپس آ گئی۔
وَبِالْآسْمِ الَّذِیْ یُنْشِءُ السَّحَابَ الثِّقَالَ وَيُسَبِّحُ الرَّعْدُ بِحَمْدِهٖ وَالْمَلَآئِكَةُ مِنْ خَيْفَتِهٖ، وَبِالْاِسْمِ الَّذِیْ كُشِفَ بِهِ ضَرُّ اَيُّوْبَ وَاسْتَجَابَ بِهٖ لِيُوْنُسَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ فِيْ ظُلُمَاتٍ ثَلَاثٍ وَبِالْاِسْمِ الَّذِیْ وَهَبَ لِزَكَرِيَّا يَحْيٰی نَبِيًّا عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ وَاَنْعَمَ عَلٰی عَبْدِهٖ عِيْسَی بْنَ مَرْيَمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ اِذْ عَلَّمَهُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَجَعَلَهٗ نَبِيًّا مُبَارَكًا مِنَ الصَّالِحِيْنَ وَبِالْاِسْمِ الَّذِىْ دَعَاكَ بِهٖ جَبْرَائِيْلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ فِيْ الْمُقَرَّبِيْنَ وَدَعَاكَ بِهٖ مِيْكَائِيْلُ وَاِسْرِافِيْلُ عَلَيْهِمَا السَّلَامُ فَاسْتَجَبْتَ لَهُمْ وَكُنْتَ مِنَ الْمَلَائِكةِ قَرِيْبًا مُجِيْبًا وَبِاسْمِكَ الْمَكْتُوْبِ فِيْ اللَّوْحِ الْمَحْفُوْظِ وَبِاسْمِكَ الْمَكْتُوْبِ فِي الْبَيْتِ الْمَعْمُوْرِ وَبِاسْمِكَ الْمَكْتُوْبِ فِيْ لِوَاءِ الْحَمْدِ الَّذِىْ اَعْطَيْتَهٗ نَبِيَّكَ مُحَمَّدًا صَلَّی اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهٖ وَ وَعَدْتَهُ الْحَوْضَ وَالشَّفَاعَةَ وَالْمَقَامَ الْمَحْمُوْدَ وَبِاسْمِكَ الَّذِیْ تُطْوِيْ بِهِ السَّمٰوَاتِ كَطَىِّ السِّجِلِّ لِلْكُتُبِ وَبِاسْمِكَ الَّذِیْ تَقْبَلُ التَّوْبَةَ عَنْ عِبَادِكَ وَتَعْفُوْ عَنِ السَّيِّئَاتِ وَبِوَجْهِك الْكَرِيْمِ اَكْرَمِ الْوُجُوْهِ وَبِمَا تَوَارَتْ بِهِ الْحُجُبُ مِنْ نُوْرِكَ وَبِمَا اسْتَقَلَّ بِهِ الْعَرْشُ مِنْ بَهَائِكَ۔
Wa bil ismil lazee yunsheus sahaabas seqaala wa yosabbehur ra’do behamdehi wal malaa-ekato min khayfatehi.
Wa bil ismil lazee koshefa behi zurro ayyooba wastajaaba behe le-yoonosa a’layhis salaamo fee zolomaatin salaasin wa bil ismil lazee wahaba lezakariyyaa yahyaa nabiyyan a’layhis salaamo wa an-a’ma a’laa a’bdehi e’e’sabna maryama a’layhis salaam.
Iz a’llamahul ketaaba wal hikmata wa ja-a’lahu nabiyyan mobaarakan menas saaleheen wa bil ismil lazee da-a’a’ka behi jibra-eelo a’laihis salaamo fil moqarrabeena wa da-a’a’ka behi meekaaa-eelo wa israafeelo a’layhemas salaam.
Fastajabta lahum wa kunta menal malaaekate qareebam mojeeb wa bismekal maktoobe fil lawhil mahfooze wa bismekal maktoobe fil baytil ma’moore wa bismekal maktoobe fee lewaa-il hamdil lazee aa’taytahu nabiyyaka mohammadan sallal laaho a’layhe wa aalehi wa wa-a’dtahul hauza wash shafaa-a’ta wal maqaamal mahmooda wa bismekal lazee tut-wi behis samaawaate katayyis sejille lilkotobe wa bismekal lazee taqbalut tawbata a’n e’baadeka wa ta’foo a’nis sayye-aate wa be waj-hekal kareeme akramil wujoohe wa bemaa tawaarat behi hojobo min nooreka wa bemas taqalla behil a’rsho min bahaa-eka.
And by the Name by which He brings forth the heavy clouds, and the thunder glorifies His praise, and the angels (glorify Him) out of awe of Him; and by the Name by which the affliction of Ayyub was removed, and by which He responded to Yunus peace be upon him in the three layers of darkness; and by the Name by which He granted Zakariyya Yahya as a prophet peace be upon him and by which He bestowed favour upon His servant Eesa son of Maryam peace be upon him when He taught him the Book and wisdom and made him a blessed prophet among the righteous; and by the Name by which Jibraeel peace be upon him called upon You among those brought near, and by which Meekaail and Israafil peace be upon them called upon You, so You answered them, and You were near and responsive to the angels; and by Your Name written in the Preserved Tablet, and by Your Name written in the Frequented House, and by Your Name written in the Banner of Praise which You gave to Your Prophet Muhammad may Allah bless him and his family and by which You promised him the Pool, intercession, and the Praised Station; and by Your Name by which You will fold up the heavens like the rolling up of a scroll for writings; and by Your Name by which You accept repentance from Your servants and pardon misdeeds; and by Your noble Face, the noblest of faces; and by that by which the veils are concealed from Your light; and by that by which the Throne is upheld by Your splendour.
اور اُس نام کے وسیلے سے جس کے ساتھ وہ بھاری بادل پیدا کرتا ہے، اور گرج اس کی حمد کے ساتھ تسبیح کرتی ہے، اور فرشتے اس کے خوف سے (اس کی تسبیح کرتے ہیں)۔ اور اُس نام کے وسیلے سے جس کے ساتھ ایوبؑ کی تکلیف دور کی گئی، اور جس کے ساتھ یونسؑ کی دعا تین اندھیروں میں قبول کی گئی۔ اور اُس نام کے وسیلے سے جس کے ساتھ زکریاؑ کو یحییٰؑ نبی عطا کیا گیا، اور جس کے ساتھ اس نے اپنے بندے عیسیٰ ابنِ مریمؑ پر انعام فرمایا جب اسے کتاب اور حکمت سکھائی، اور اسے نیک لوگوں میں ایک بابرکت نبی بنایا۔ اور اُس نام کے وسیلے سے جس کے ساتھ جبرائیلؑ نے، مقرب فرشتوں میں، تجھے پکارا؛ اور جس کے ساتھ میکائیلؑ اور اسرافیلؑ نے تجھے پکارا؛ تو تو نے ان کی دعا قبول فرمائی، اور تو فرشتوں کے لیے قریب اور سننے والا رہا۔ اور تیرے اُس نام کے وسیلے سے جو لوحِ محفوظ میں لکھا ہے، اور تیرے اُس نام کے وسیلے سے جو بیتِ معمور میں لکھا ہے، اور تیرے اُس نام کے وسیلے سے جو لواءِ الحمد میں لکھا ہے جو تو نے اپنے نبی محمدؐ (اور ان کی آلؑ) کو عطا فرمایا اور جس کے ساتھ تو نے انہیں حوض، شفاعت، اور مقامِ محمود کا وعدہ دیا۔ اور تیرے اُس نام کے وسیلے سے جس کے ساتھ تو آسمانوں کو یوں لپیٹ دے گا جیسے لکھے ہوئے کاغذ کا طومار لپیٹا جاتا ہے۔ اور تیرے اُس نام کے وسیلے سے جس کے ساتھ تو اپنے بندوں کی توبہ قبول کرتا ہے اور گناہوں کو معاف فرماتا ہے۔ اور تیرے کریم چہرے کے وسیلے سے جو سب سے زیادہ کریم چہرہ ہے۔ اور تیرے نور کے پردوں کے وسیلے سے (جن سے نور چھپا ہوا ہے)۔ اور تیرے جلال (بہاء) کے وسیلے سے جس کے ساتھ عرش قائم ہے۔
يَااِلٰهَ مُحَمَّدٍ وَاِبْرَاهِيْمَ وَاِسْمَاعِيْلَ وَاِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوْبَ وَيُوْسُفَ وَالْآسْبَاطِ صَلَّی اللهُ عَلَيْهِمْ يَارَبَّ جِبْرَائِيْلَ وَمِيْكَائِيْلَ وَاِسْرَافِيْلَ وَعَزْرَائِيْلَ وَرَبَّ النَّبِيِّيْنَ وَالْمُرْسَلِيْنَ وَمُنْزِلَ التَّوْرَاةِ وَالْاِنْجِيْلِ وَالزَّبُوْرِ وَالْفُرْقَانِ الْعَظِيْمِ اَسْئَلُكَ بِكُلِّ اسْمٍ هُوَ لَكَ سَمَّيْتَ بِهٖ نَفْسَكَ اَوْ اَنْزَلْتَهٗ فِيْ كِتَابٍ مِّنْ كِتَبِكَ اَوْ عَلَّمْتَهٗ اَحَدًا مِّنْ خَلْقِكَ اَوِاسْتَاثَرْتَ بِهٖ فِيْ عِلْمِ الْغَيْبِ عِنْدَك يَاوَهَّابَ الْعَطَايَا يَافَكَاكَ الرِّقَابِ مِنَ النَّارِ وَطَارِدَ الْعُسْرِ مِنَ الْعَسِيْرِ كُنْ شَفِيْعِ اِلَيْكَ اِذْ كُنْتَ دَلِيْلِىْ عَلَيْكَ وَبِالْاِسْمِ الَّذِىْ يَحِقُّ الْحَقَّ بِكَلِمَاتِهٖ وَيُبْطِلُ الْبَاطِلَ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْمُجْرِمُوْنَ وَبِالْآسْمِ الَّذِىْ يُسَبِّحُ الرَّعْدُ بِحَمْدِهٖ وَالْمَلَائِكَةُ مِنْ خِيْفَتِهٖ وَبِاسْمِكَ الْمَكْتُوْبِ عَلٰی اَجْنِحَةِ الْكُرُّوْبِيِّيْنَ وَبِاَسْمَائِكَ الَّتِیْ تُحْيِیْ بِهَا الْعِظَامَ وَهِىَ رَمِيْمٌ وَبِاسْمِكَ الَّذِیْ دَعَاك بِهٖ عِيْسَی بْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَبِاِسْمَائِك الْمَكْتُوْبَاتِ عَلٰی عَصٰی مُوْسٰی۔
Yaa elaaha mohammadinw wa ibraaheema wa ismaae’e’la wa is-haaqa wa ya’qooba wa yoosofa wal asbaati sallal laaho a’layhim yaa rabba jibraeela wa meekaa-eela wa israafeela wa i’zraa-eela wa rabban nabiyyeena wal mursaleena wa munzelat tawraate wal injeeli waz zaboore wal furqaanil a’zeeme.
As-aloka be-kullis-min howa laka sammayta behi nafsaka aw anzaltahu fee ketaabim min ketaabeka aw a’llamtahu ahadam min khalqeka awis taa-sarta behi fee i’lmil ghaybe i’ndaka yaa wahhaabal a’taayaa yaa fakaaka reqaabe menan naare wa taaredal u’sre menal a’seer kun shafeee’i’ elayka iz kunta daleeli a’laik wa bil ismil lazee yahiqqul haqqa bekalemaatehi wa yubt’elul baat’ela wa lau karehal mujremoon.
Wa bil ismil lazee yosabbehur ra’do behamdehi wal malaaekato min kheefatehi wa bismekal maktoobe a’laa ajnehatal karraubiyyeena wa be-asmaa-ekal latee tohyee behal e’zaama wa heya rameemun wa bismekal lazee daa’a’ka behi e’e’sabna maryama wa be asmaaekal maktoobaate a’laa a’s’aa moosaa.
O God of Muhammad, and Ibrahim, and Isma‘il, and Ishaq, and Ya‘qub, and Yusuf, and the Tribes may Allah bless them; O Lord of Jibraeel, and Meekaail, and Israafil, and Azraail; and Lord of the prophets and messengers; and Revealer of the Torah, the Gospel, the Psalms, and the Great Criterion (the Qur’an): I ask You by every Name that is Yours by which You have named Yourself, or which You have sent down in one of Your Books, or which You have taught to any of Your creation, or which You have kept to Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen with You. O Bestower of gifts, O Liberator of necks from the Fire, O One who drives away hardship from distress be an intercessor for me with You, since You are my guide to You. And I ask You by the Name by whose words You establish the truth and abolish falsehood, even if the criminals hate it; and by the Name by which the thunder glorifies His praise and the angels (glorify Him) out of awe of Him; and by Your Name written upon the wings of the cherubim; and by Your Names by which You bring life to bones while they are decayed; and by Your Name by which Eesa son of Maryam called upon You; and by Your Names written upon the staff of Moosa.
اے محمدؐ، ابراہیمؑ، اسماعیلؑ، اسحاقؑ، یعقوبؑ، یوسفؑ اور اسباط کے معبود (اللہ)! ان سب پر درود ہو۔ اے جبرائیلؑ، میکائیلؑ، اسرافیلؑ اور عزرائیلؑ کے رب ! اے نبیوں اور رسولوں کے رب! اے تورات، انجیل، زبور اور عظیم فرقان نازل کرنے والے! میں تجھ سے سوال کرتا ہوں تیرے ہر اُس نام کے وسیلے سے جو تیرے لیے ہے: یا تو وہ نام جس سے تو نے اپنے آپ کو پکارا، یا وہ جو تو نے اپنی کسی کتاب میں نازل فرمایا، یا وہ جو تو نے اپنی مخلوق میں سے کسی کو سکھایا، یا وہ جسے تو نے اپنے پاس علمِ غیب میں خاص رکھا۔ اے عطائیں دینے والے! اے آگ سے گردنیں چھڑانے والے! اے سختی اور تنگی کو دور کرنے والے! میرے لیے اپنی بارگاہ میں سفارش کرنے والا بن جا، کیونکہ تو ہی میرا وسیلہ اور تو تک پہنچنے کی رہنمائی ہے۔ اور میں تجھ سے اُس نام کے وسیلے سے سوال کرتا ہوں جس کے کلمات کے ذریعے تو حق کو قائم کرتا ہے اور باطل کو مٹا دیتا ہے، چاہے مجرموں کو برا ہی لگے۔ اور اُس نام کے وسیلے سے جس کے ساتھ گرج تیری حمد کے ساتھ تسبیح کرتی ہے اور فرشتے تیرے خوف سے (تسبیح کرتے ہیں)۔ اور تیرے اُس نام کے وسیلے سے جو مقرب فرشتوں (کروبیین) کے پروں پر لکھا ہے۔ اور تیرے اُن ناموں کے وسیلے سے جن کے ساتھ تو بوسیدہ ہڈیوں کو بھی زندہ کر دیتا ہے۔ اور تیرے اُس نام کے وسیلے سے جس کے ساتھ عیسیٰ ابنِ مریمؑ نے تجھے پکارا۔ اور تیرے اُن ناموں کے وسیلے سے جو موسیٰؑ کی لاٹھی پر لکھے گئے۔
وَبِاسْمِكَ الَّذِیْ تَكَلَّمَ بِهٖ مُوْسٰی عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ عَلٰی سَحَرَةِ مِصْرَ فَاَوْحَيْتَ اِلَيْهِ لَا تَخَفْ اِنَّك اَنْتَ الْاَعْلٰی وَبِاَسْمَائِكَ الْمَنْقُوْشَاتِ عَلٰی خَاتَمِ سُلَيْمَانَ ابْنِ دَاؤُدَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ الَّتِیْ مَلَكَ بِهَا الْجِنَّ وَالْآنْسَ وَالشَّيَاطِيْنَ وَاَذَلَّ بِهَا اِبْلِيْسَ وَجُنُوْدَهٗ وَبِالْاَسْمَاءِ الَّتِیْ نَجَا بِهَا اِبْرَاهِيْمِ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ مِنْ نَارِ نَمْرُوْدَ وَبِالْآسْمَاءِ الَّتِیْ رُفِعَ بِهَا اِدْرِيْسُ مَكَانًا عَلِيًّا وَبِالْآسْمَاءِ الْمَكْتُوْبَاتِ عَلٰی جَبْهَةِ اِسْرَافِيْلَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ وَبِالْاَسْمَاءِ الْمَكْتُوْبَاتِ عَلٰی دَارِ قُدْسِهٖ وَبِكُلِّ اسْمٍ هُوَ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ دَعَا اللهُ بِهٖ نَبِیُّ مُرْسَلٌ اَوْ مَلَكٌ مُقَرَّبٌ اَوْ عَبْدٌ مُؤْمِنٌ وَبِكُلِّ اسْمٍ هُوَ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فِيْ شَیْءٍ مِنْ كُتُبِهٖ وَبِكُلِّ اسْمٍ هُوَ مَخْزُوْنٌ فِیْ عِلْمِهٖ وَبِاَسْمَائِهِ الْمَكْتُوْبَاتِ فِی اللَّوْحِ الْمَحْفُوْظِ، وَبِالْاِسْمِ الَّذِیْ خَلَقَ بِهٖ جِبِلَّاتِ الْخُلْقِ كُلِّهِمْ۔
Wa bismekal lazee takallama behi moosaa a’laihis salaamo a’laa saharate misra fa-awhayta elayhe laa takhaf innaka antal a-a’laa wa be asmaa-ekal manqooshaate a’laa khaatame sulaimaan abne daawooda a’laihis salaamul latee malaka behal jinna wal insa wash-shayaat’eena wa azalla behaa ibleesa wa jonoodahu wa bil asmaa illaatee najaa behaa ibraaheema a’layhis salaamo min naare namrood wa bil asmaa-il latee rofea’ behaa idreeso makaanan a’liyyan wa bil asmaa-il maktoobaati a’laa jab-hati israafeela a’laihis salaamo wa bil asmaa-il maktoobaate a’laa daare qudsehi wa be kullismin howal laaho a’zza wajalla da-a’l laaho behi nabibyyo mursalun aw malakum moqarrabun aw a’bdum moamenun wa be kullismin howal laaho a’zza wajalla fee shay-im min kotobehi wa be kullismin howa makhzoonun fee i’lmehi wa be asmaa-ehil maktoobaate fil lawhil mahfooz.
Wa bil ismil lazee khalaqa behi jebillaatil khulqe kullehim.
And by Your Name with which Moosa peace be upon him spoke to the sorcerers of Egypt, and You revealed to him: “Do not fear; indeed you are the superior.” And by Your Names engraved upon the seal of Sulayman son of Dawud peace be upon him by which he was given dominion over jinn, humankind, and devils, and by which he humbled Iblis and his hosts. And by the Names through which Ibrahim peace be upon him was saved from the fire of Nimrod; and by the Names through which Idris was raised to a high station; and by the Names written upon the forehead of Israfil peace be upon him and by the Names written upon the abode of His holiness; and by every Name by which Allah, Mighty and Majestic, was called upon by a sent prophet, or a near angel, or a believing servant; and by every Name of Allah, Mighty and Majestic, that is in any of His Books; and by every Name that is stored within His knowledge; and by His Names written in the Preserved Tablet; and by the Name by which He created the very natures of all created beings.
اور تیرے اُس نام کے وسیلے سے جس کے ساتھ موسیٰؑ نے مصر کے جادوگروں سے بات کی، تو تُو نے ان پر وحی کی: ڈرو نہیں، بے شک تم ہی غالب رہو گے۔ اور تیرے اُن ناموں کے وسیلے سے جو سلیمان ابنِ داؤدؑ کی انگوٹھی (مہر) پر نقش تھے، جن کے ذریعے انہیں جنّوں، انسانوں اور شیطانوں پر حکومت دی گئی، اور جن کے ذریعے ابلیس اور اس کے لشکر ذلیل کیے گئے۔ اور اُن ناموں کے وسیلے سے جن کے ساتھ ابراہیمؑ کو نمرود کی آگ سے نجات دی گئی؛ اور اُن ناموں کے وسیلے سے جن کے ساتھ ادریسؑ کو بلند مقام پر اٹھایا گیا۔ اور اُن ناموں کے وسیلے سے جو اسرافیلؑ کی پیشانی پر لکھے ہیں؛ اور اُن ناموں کے وسیلے سے جو اس کی پاک بارگاہ (دارِ قدس) پر لکھے ہیں۔ اور ہر اُس نام کے وسیلے سے جس کے ساتھ اللہ عزوجل کو کسی بھیجے ہوئے نبی نے، یا کسی مقرب فرشتے نے، یا کسی مومن بندے نے پکارا۔ اور اللہ عزوجل کے ہر اُس نام کے وسیلے سے جو اس کی کسی کتاب میں موجود ہے۔ اور ہر اُس نام کے وسیلے سے جو اس کے علم میں محفوظ ہے۔ اور اس کے اُن ناموں کے وسیلے سے جو لوحِ محفوظ میں لکھے ہیں۔ اور اُس نام کے وسیلے سے جس کے ذریعے اس نے تمام مخلوق کی فطرتیں اور سرشتیں پیدا کیں۔
وَبِاسْمِ اللهِ الْاَكْبَرِ الْكَبِيْرِ الْاَجَلِّ الْجَلِيْلِ الْاَعَزِّ الْعَزِيْزِ الْاَعْظَمِ الْعَظِيْمِ وَبِاَسْمَائِهٖ كُلِّهَا الَّتِیْ اِذَا ذُكِرَ بِهَا ذَلَّتْ فَرَائِصُ مَلَائِكتِهٖ وَسَمَائِهٖ وَاَرْضِهٖ وَجَنَّتِهٖ وَنَارِهٖ وَبِاسْمِهِ الْاَعْظَمِ الَّذِیْ عَلَّمَهٗ آدَمَ فِيْ جَنَّاتِ عَدْنٍ وَصَلَّی اللهُ وَمَلَآئِكَتُهٗ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِهٖ وَعَلٰی جَمِيْعِ اَنْبِيَاءِ اللهِ وَرُسُلِهٖ۔ اَللّٰهُمَّ فَبِحُرْمَةِ هٰذِهِ الْاَسْمَاءِ وَبِحُرْمَةِ تَفْسِيْرِهَا فَاِنَّهٗ لَا يَعْلَمُ تَفْسِيْرَهَا غَيْرُكَ اَنْ تَسْتَجِيْبَ دُعَائِىْ وَارْحَمْ تَضَرُّعِىْ وَاَدْخِلْنِي فِيْ عِبَادِكَ الصَّالِحِيْنَ وَآتِنَا فِيْ الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةٌ وَفِيْ الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَّمَا بَيْنَهُمَا مَغْفِرَةً وَرَحْمَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ وَتَوَفَّنَا مَعَ الْاَبْرَارِ وَلَا تُخْزِنَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ اِنَّكَ لَا تُخْلِفُ الْمِيْعَادَ وَتَرَی الْمَلَائِكَةَ حَافَّيْنَ مِنْ حَوْلِ الْعَرْشِ يُسَبِّحُوْنَ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِمْ وَقُضِىَ بَيْنَهُمْ بِالْحَقِّ وَقِيْلَ الْحَمْدُ لِلهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ۔
Wa bismil laahil akbaril kabeeril ajallil jaleelil aa’zzil a’zeezil aa’z’amil a’zeeme wa be asmaa-ehi kullehal latee ezaa zokera behaa zallat faraa-eso malaa-ekatehi wa samaa-ehi wa arzehi wa jannatehi wa naarehi wa bismehil aa’zamil lazee a’llamahu aadama fee jannaate a’dnin wa s’allal laaho wa malaa-ekatohu a’laa mohammadin wa aalehi wa a’laa jamee-e’ ambeyaa illaahe wa rosoleh.
Allaahumma fabehurmate haazehil asmaa-e wa be hurmate tafseerehaa fa-innahu laa ya’lamo tafseerahaa ghayraka an tastajeeba doa’a-ee warham tazarroe’e’ wa adkhilnee fee e’baadekas saaleheena wa aatinaa fiddunyaa hasanatanw wa fil aakherate hasanah.
Wa maa baynahomaa maghferatanw wa rahmatanw wa qena a’zaaban naare wa tawaffana ma-a’l abraar wa laa tukhzenaa yawmal qeyaamate innaka laa tukhleful meea’a’d.
Wa taral malaa-ekata haaaffeena min hawlil a’rshe yosabbehoona behamde rabbehim wa qozeya baynahum bil haqqe wa qeelal hamdo lillaahe rabbil a’a’lameen.
And by the Name of Allah the Greatest, the Most Grand, the Most Exalted, the Most Majestic, the Most Mighty, the Invincible, the Most Supreme, the Most Magnificent and by all His Names which, when He is mentioned by them, the very beings of His angels tremble, and His heavens, His earth, His Paradise, and His Fire submit. And by His Greatest Name which He taught Adam in the Gardens of Eden. And may Allah and His angels send blessings upon Muhammad and his family, and upon all the prophets and messengers of Allah. O Allah, by the sanctity of these Names and by the sanctity of their meaning for none knows their true meaning except You answer my supplication, have mercy on my humble pleading, and include me among Your righteous servants. Grant us good in this world, and good in the Hereafter, and between them grant forgiveness and mercy. Protect us from the punishment of the Fire. Cause us to die among the righteous, and do not disgrace us on the Day of Resurrection. Surely You do not break Your promise. And you will see the angels encircling the Throne, glorifying the praise of their Lord; and judgment will be passed between them in truth, and it will be said: “All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of all the worlds.”
اور اللہ کے سب سے بڑے، نہایت بڑے، نہایت بلند، بہت جلیل، سب سے زیادہ عزت والے، بہت غالب، سب سے عظیم، نہایت عظمت والے نام کے وسیلے سے اور اُس کے تمام ناموں کے وسیلے سے کہ جب ان کے ساتھ اس کا ذکر کیا جاتا ہے تو اس کے فرشتوں کے بدن کانپ اٹھتے ہیں، اور اس کے آسمان، اس کی زمین، اس کی جنت اور اس کی آگ (جہنم) (سب) جھک جاتے ہیں۔ اور اس کے اسمِ اعظم کے وسیلے سے جسے اس نے آدمؑ کو جنتِ عدن میں سکھایا۔ اور اللہ اور اس کے فرشتے محمدؐ اور ان کی آلؑ پر، اور اللہ کے تمام انبیاء اور رسولوں پر درود بھیجتے ہیں۔ اے اللہ! ان ناموں کی حرمت کے وسیلے سے، اور ان کی تفسیر کی حرمت کے وسیلے سے کیونکہ ان کی حقیقت (تفسیر) تیرے سوا کوئی نہیں جانتا میری دعا قبول فرما، میری عاجزی پر رحم فرما، اور مجھے اپنے نیک بندوں میں شامل فرما۔ اور ہمیں دنیا میں بھلائی عطا فرما، اور آخرت میں بھلائی عطا فرما، اور ان دونوں کے درمیان (یعنی ہماری زندگی میں) مغفرت اور رحمت عطا فرما۔ اور ہمیں آگ کے عذاب سے بچا۔ اور ہمیں نیک لوگوں کے ساتھ موت دے۔ اور قیامت کے دن ہمیں رسوا نہ کرنا۔ بے شک تو وعدہ خلافی نہیں کرتا۔ اور تو فرشتوں کو دیکھے گا کہ وہ عرش کے گرد حلقہ بنائے ہوئے ہوں گے، اپنے رب کی حمد کے ساتھ تسبیح کر رہے ہوں گے۔ اور ان کے درمیان حق کے ساتھ فیصلہ کر دیا جائے گا، اور کہا جائے گا: تمام تعریف اللہ کے لیے ہے جو تمام جہانوں کا رب ہے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allahumma swalle alaa muhammadiw wa aale muhammadin
Allah’s (s.w.t) choicest blessings be upon Mohammed and his holy progeny.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آل ؑپر۔
