Imam Husain (a)اما م حسین (ع)

In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

O My Allah! Thou art He Who heard the prayers of Adam and Hawwa when they said: “O our Lord we did not listen to the voice of our conscience. Now if Thou does not take a lenient view, and have mercy on us, We shall always be among the losers.” And Nooh cried unto Thee, then Thou heard his prayer, and kept him and his companions safe From the terrible catastrophe. Thou put out the fire set burning by Namrood, for Ibraaheem, Thy friend, who came out from it hale and hearty.

اے معبو د تو وہی ذات ہے جس نے آدم (ع) و حو ا(س) کی دعا قبو ل کی جب دونو ں نے کہااے پر ورد گا ر ہم نے خود پر ستم کیا ہے اگر تو ہمیں نہ بخشے اور ہم پر رحم نہ فرمائے تو ضرور ہم گھا ٹا پا نیوالوں میں سے ہو جا ئیں گے اور نوح (ع)نے تجھے پکارا پس تونے ان کی دعا قبو ل کی اور ان کو اور ان کے ہمراہیو ں کو بڑی مصیبت سے نجات دی تو ہی نے اپنے سچے دوست ابراہیم (ع)کیلئے نمرود کی جلائی ہوئی آگ بجھائی پھر اسے ٹھنڈی اور سلامتی والی بنایا۔

Thou art He Who heard the prayer of Ayyoob, when he cried unto his Lord: “Truly, I am hard-pressed and concerned by losses and damages, and Thou art Most Merciful of all who show mercy.” Then Thou dispersed hardships that were bothering him gave him back his family, And the like thereof along with them, a mercy from Thy store, and a remembrance for men of understanding. Thou art He Who heard the prayer of Noon (Younus). As soon as he cried unto Thee in the darkness: “There is no god save Thee. Be Thou glorified. Surely I have been a wrong-doer.” Then Thou saved him from anguish.

تو ہے جس نے ایو ب (ع)کی دعا قبو ل کی جب وہ پکا را کہ مجھے سختی نے گھیر لیا ہے اور تو ہے سب سے زیادہ رحم کر نے والا تب تو نے سختی کو ان سے دور کر دیا اور ان کی اولاد ان کو پلٹا دی اور اپنی مہر بانی سے اتنی ہی اور أولاد بھی عطا کر دی تاکہ صاحبان عقل کے لیے ایک مثال رہے تو وہی ہے جس نے مچھلی والے یو نس (ع)کی دعا قبو ل فرمائی جب انہو ں نے تجھے تا ریکیوں میں پکارا کہ تیرے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں تو پاک و پا کیزہ ہے بےشک میں ہی قصور وار ہوں پس تو نے ان کو پریشانی سے بچا لیا۔

Thou art He Who heard the prayers of Moosa and Haroon, When they called (unto Thee). Thou said, “Your prayer is heard. You two keep to the straight path.” Firawn (Pharoah) and his people were drowned. Thou had forgiven mistakes committed by Dawood, and relented towards him through Thy mercy and glory. Thou ransomed Ismaa-eel with a “Zibhin Azeem” (great sacrifice), when they had both surrendered (to Allah), and he had flung him down upon his face. Then he received the news of joy and relief.

تو ہی وہ جس نے موسیٰ(ع) اور ہارون (ع)کی دعا قبول کی انہوں نے تجھے پکارا اس پر تو نے فرمایا کہ ضرور میں نے تمہاری دعا قبول کی پس تم ثابت قدم رہو اور تو نے فرعون اور اس کی قوم کو ڈبو دیا تو نے داؤد(ع) کا ترک اولیٰ معاف فرمایا اور ان کی مغفرت قبول کرتے ہو ئے ان پر رحمت کی اور نصیحت دی تو نے اسماعیل(ع) کے بدلے بڑ ی قربانی قرار دی جب کہ انہوں نے سر تسلیم خم کر دیا اور منہ کے بل لیٹ گئے پس تو نے انہیں کشادگی اور راحت کی نوید دی۔

Thou art He unto Whom Zakariyya cried, A cry in secret. Saying: “My Lord! Surely my bones are weak and unsteady, my head is full of grey hair, And I have never been deprived of blessings whenever I prayed to Thee, O my Lord.” Thou said: “They cried unto Me in longing and in fear, and were submissive unto Me.” Thou art He Who hears the prayers of those who believe and do good deeds, Gives them more and more of Thy bounties. So count me not among the unimportant (people) who call on and turn to Thee (in vain). Give answer to my prayer just as Thou heard the prayers of those whom Thou found worthy of Thy attention.

تو ہی ہے جس کو زکریا نے چپکے چپکے پکارا تو یہ کہا کہ اے میرے پروردگار! میری ہڈیاں کمزور پڑ گئیں اور بڑھاپے سے سر کے بال سفید ہو گئے ہیں لیکن اے پروردگار! تجھے پکار کر کبھی میں بے نصیب نہیں رہا، اور تو نے فرمایا ہے: وہ ہمیں شوق و خوف سے پکارتے ہیں اور ہم سے ڈرتے رہتے ہیں، اور تو ہی ہے کہ ان کی دعائیں قبول کرتا ہے جو ایمان لائے اور انہوں نے اچھے اچھے کام کیے تاکہ ان پر اور بھی فضل و کرم فرمائے، پس مجھے تیرے حضور دعا کرنے والوں اور تیری طرف رغبت کرنے والوں میں سب سے بے قدر نہ بنا، اور میری دعا قبول کر جیسے تو نے ان کی دعا قبول کی۔

By their right before Thee, purify me with Thy purification, and accept my prayer and my supplication with a good acceptance, Make what is left in my life pure and pleasant, and make easy for me my death, Be my successor over those I leave behind. Protect me. O my Lord! I call upon Thee. Make my children pure and chaste. Surround them with Thy reliable protection, With all with which Thou hast surrounded the offspring of any of Thy friends; Children, every one of them to be among Thy close confidants and obedient servants, through Thy mercy. O the Most Merciful.

ان کے حق کے واسطے سے جو تجھ پر ہے، پس مجھے پاک کر اپنی پاکیزگی کے واسطے سے اور میری نماز اورمیری دعا قبول فرما بہترین قبولیت سے میری بقایا زندگی کو بہتر بنا دے اور مجھے اچھی موت دے میرے بعد میرے عیال کا نگران بن جا اے میرے پروردگار مجھے دعا پر قائم رکھ میری اولاد کو پاکیزہ قرار دے اسے اپنے اسی احاطے میں رکھ کر کہ جس میں تو نے اپنے دوستوں اور اپنے فرمانبرداروں میں سے کسی کی اولاد کو رکھا ہے اپنی رحمت کے ساتھ اے سب سے زیادہ رحم کرنے والے۔

O He who watches over all things, And gives answer to all those who cry unto Him; And is near to all those who make a request. I beseech Thee, O “There is no god save Thou, The Everliving, the Everlasting, One, Independent, Who begets not nor was begotten, and there is none comparable unto Him.”

اے وہ جو ہر چیز کا نگہبان و نگہدار ہے اپنی مخلوق میں سے ہر ایک کی دعا قبول کرتا ہے اور ہر ایک سوالی کے قریب و نزدیک ہے تجھ سے سوال کرتا ہوں اے کہ تیرے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں ہے تو زندہ و پائندہ یکتا و بے نیاز کہ جسے کسی نے نہیں جنا نہ اس نے کسی کو جنا اور نہ اس کا کوئی ہمسر ہے۔

In the name of all (Thy) Names, Thou employed to raise the sky, To spread out the earth, To set up the mountains, To make water run its course, To keep in control the clouds, the sun, the moon, the stars, the nights, And the days, (so that they work as Thou wills); And thus Thou brought into existence all creations. I beseech Thee by the greatness of Thy Mighty Face, at which the heavens and the earth shone and by which the darknesses were lit up,

واسطہ ہر اس نام کا جس سے تو نے آسمان کو بلند کیا جس سے اپنی زمین کا فرش بچھایا جس سے پہاڑوں کو ٹھہرایا جس سے پانی کو رواں کیا جس سے بادلوں کو مسخر کیا اور جس سے سورج چاند ستاروں اور رات دن کو مطیع بنایا اور جس سے ساری مخلوقات کو پیدا کیا تجھ سے سوال ہے بواسطہ تیری ذات کی بزرگی کے جس سے آسمانوں اور زمین میں روشنی ہوئی پھر اس سے تاریکیاں چمک اٹھیں۔

that Thou send blessings upon Muhammad and the children of Muhammad, suffice me in the affairs of my livelihood and of my return, set right all my affairs, do not leave me to myself (even) for the twinkling of an eye, set right my affairs and the affairs of my dependents, suffice me against my worry for them, make me and them free from want through Thy treasure, Thy stores and the expanse of Thy bounty which never runs out, and establish in my heart the springs of wisdom by which Thou benefitest me and by which Thou benefitest whom Thou art pleased with of Thy servants;

سوال یہ ہے کہ تو محمد(ص) وآل محمد(ص) پر رحمت فرمائے اور دنیا و آخرت میں میری کفایت کر اور میرے حالات میں بہتری فرما ئے نیز مجھے ایک پل کے لیے بھی میری خواہش کے سپرد نہ کر میرے اور میرے کنبے کے معاملات بہتر بنا دے مجھے ان کے غم سے بچا اور مجھ کو اور ان کو اپنے ذخیروں اور خزانوں سے مالدار بنا اور ہم پر فضل کر کہ جو کبھی ختم نہ ہوگا میرے دل میں دانش کے چشمے جاری کر کہ جن سے تو مجھے فائدہ پہنچائے اور اسے بھی فائدہ پہنچائے جسے تو اپنے بندوں میں سے پسند کرتا ہے۔

Appoint for me, from among the pious, an Imam in the last age, just as Thou elected Ibraheem, the beloved one as the Imam, For certainly, with Thy consent and guidance, the chosen successful attain their end; Turn repentant to Thee the penitent; Worship Thee the devotees; With the help of Thy “True Path”, Remain upright the honest, praiseworthy and secluded worshippers, Who fear Thee. On account of the direction in the right way, (Thou shows) the relieved save themselves from the fire, and those who remain on guard against evil are wary of it. When forsaken by Thee the followers of falsehood suffer loss, The (transgressing) oppressors are cast into Hell, The careless are neglected.

میرے لیے آخری زمانے میں پرہیزگاروں میں سے ایک امام(ع) قرار دے جیسا کہ تو نے ابراہیم خلیل(ع) کو امام (ع)بنایاتھا اس لئے کہ تیری توفیق کے ذریعے کامیاب ہونے والے کامیاب ہوتے ہیں اور توبہ کرنے والوں کی توبہ قبول ہوتی ہے عبادت کرنے والے عبادت کرتے ہیں نیز تیری دی ہوئی ہمت سے نیکی کرتے ہیں نیکوکار خوشکردار تیرے عبادت گزار جو تجھ سے خوف رکھتے ہیں اور تیری ہدایت کے ذریعے نجات پاتے ہیں تیری آگ سے نجات پانے والے ہیں اور اس آگ سے گھبراتے ہیں تیری مخلوق میں سے گبھرانے والے اور تجھے چھوڑ دینے سے گھا ٹا پا تے ہیں بد عمل تباہ ہو جا تے ہیں ستمگار اور بے خبر ہو جاتے ہیں بے خبر لو گ۔

O my Allah! Grant my soul its piety, For Thou controls the soul, and refines him who keeps it pure. O my Allah! Make its guidance clear to it, Overfill it with wisdom and piety, bless it with inner satisfaction, Through Thy mercy, when Thou takest it, And let it take quarters in the pleasant surroundings of the exalted sanctuary, Make it noble, Let it grow in substance, and develop, Be kind when its turn comes to depart, And when it reaches the permanent abode, To live there forever, allow it to dwell in Paradise, Because Thou art its Friend, and its Master.

اے معبو د میرے نفس کو پرہیزگار بنا کہ تو ہی اس کا نگہبان اور مالک ہے اور تو ہی اسے بہترین پاک کرنے والا ہے اے معبود ہدایت اس پر عیاں فرما اسے تقویٰ سے با خبر کر اور اپنی رحمت سے اس کی موت کے وقت اسے بشارت دے اور جنت میں اسے بلند مقام پر جگہ دے نیز اس کی موت اور زندگی کو پاکیزہ بنا اس کی بازگشت سکونت قرار گاہ اور اسکے ٹھکانے کو بابرکت بنا کہ تو ہی اس کا نگہبان اور مالک ہے۔

O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.

اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آلؑ پر۔
