بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismi allaahi ar-rahmaani ar-raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
اِلٰهِىْ قَصُرَتِ الْاَلْسُنُ عَنْۢ بُلُوْغِ ثَنَآئِكَ كَمَا يَلِيْقُ بِجَلَالِكَ وَ عَجَزَتِ الْعُقُوْلُ عَنْ اِدْرَاكِ كُنْهِ جَمَالِكَ وَانْحَسَرَتِ الْاَبْصَارُ دُوْنَ النَّظَرِ اِلٰى سُبْحَاتِ وَجْهِكَ وَلَمْ تَجْعَلْ لِلْخَلْقِ طَرِيْقًا اِلٰى مَعْرِفَتِكَ اِلَّا بِالْعَجْزِ عَنْ مَّعْرِفَتِكَ۔
Ilaahee qasurati al-alsunu 'an bulooghi thanaa'ika kamaa yaleequ bijalaalika wa 'ajazati al-'uqoolu 'an idraaki kunhi jamaalika wanhasarati al-absaaru doona an-nazari ilaa subhaati wajhika walam taj'al lil-khalqi tareeqan ilaa ma'rifatika illaa bil-'ajzi 'an ma'rifatik.
My God, tongues fall short of attaining praise of Thee proper to Thy majesty, intellects are incapable of grasping the core of Thy beauty, eyes fail before gazing upon the glories of Thy face, and Thou hast assigned to Thy creatures no way to know Thee save incapacity to know Thee!
میرے معبود!تیری جلالتِ شان کے مناسب تیری تعریف کرنے میں زبانیں گنگ ہیں اور تیرے جمال کی حقیقت کو سمجھنے سے لوگوں کی عقلیں عاجز ہیں تیری ذات کے جلووں کی طرف نظر کرنے سے آنکھیں درماندہ و عاجزہو کر رہ جاتی ہیں لوگوں کے لئے تیری معرفت کا حصول بس یہی ہے کہ وہ تیری معرفت سے قاصر ہیں۔
اِلٰهِىْ فَاجْعَلْنَا مِنَ الَّذِيْنَ تَرَسَّخَتْ اَشْجَارُ الشَّوْقِ اِلَيْكَ فِىْ حَدَآئِقِ صُدُوْرِهِمْ وَاَخَذَتْ لَوْعَةُ مَحَبَّتِكَ بِمَجَامِعِ قُلُوْبِهِمْ فَهُمْ اِلٰى اَوْكَارِ الْاَفْكَارِ يَاوُوْنَ وَفِىْ رِيَاضِ الْقُرْبِ وَالْمُكَاشَفَةِ يَرْتَعُوْنَ وَمِنْ حِيَاضِ الْمَحَبَّةِ بِكَاسِ الْمُلَاطَفَةِ يَكْرَعُوْنَ وَشَرَايِعَ الْمُصَافَاتِ يَرِدُوْنَ۔
Ilaahee faj'alnaa mina allazeena tarassakhat ashjaaru ash-shawqi ilayka fee hadaa'iqi sudoorihim wa-akhazat law'atu mahabbatika bimajaami'i quloobihim fahum ilaa awkaari al-afkaari yaa woona wafee riyaadi al-qurbi wal-mukaashafati yarta'oona wamin hiyaadi al-mahabbati bikaasi al-mulaatafati yakra'oona washaraayi'a al-musaafaati yaridoon.
My God, place us among those within the gardens of whose breasts the trees of yearning for Thee have taken firm root and the assemblies of whose hearts have been seized by the ardour of Thy love! They seek shelter in the nests of meditation, feed upon the gardens of nearness and disclosure, drink from the pools of love with the cup of gentle favour, and enter into the watering-places of warm affection.
میرے معبود ہمیں ان لوگوں میں سے قرار دےجن کے سینوں کے باغیچوں میں تیرے شوق کے درخت جڑیں پکڑ چکے ہیں اور تیرے سوزِ محبت نے ان کے دلوں کوگھیرا ہوا ہے اب وہ یادوں کے آشیانے میں پناہ لئے ہوئے ہیں اور تیری قربت اور جلوے کے باغوں میں سیر کر رہے ہیں وہ تیری محبت کے چشموں سے جامِ الفت کے گھونٹ پی رہے ہیں اور صاف ستھرے گھاٹوں پر وارد ہیں۔
قَدْ كُشِفَ الْغِطَآءُ عَنْ اَبْصَارِهِمْ وَانْجَلَتْ ظُلْمَةُ الرَّيْبِ عَنْ عَقَآئِدِهِمْ وَضَمَآئِرِهِمْ وَانْتَفَتْ مُخَالِجَةُ الشَّكِّ عَنْ قُلُوْبِهِمْ وَسَرَآئِرِهِمْ وَانْشَرَحَتْ بِتَحْقِيْقِ الْمَعْرِفَةِ صُدُوْرُهُمْ وَعَلَتْ لِسَبْقِ السَّعَادَةِ فِىْ الزِّهَادَةِ هِمَمُهُمْ وَعَذُبَ فِىْ مَعِيْنِ الْمُعَامَلَةِ شِرْبُهُمْ وَطَابَ فِىْ مَجْلِسِ الْاُنْسِ سِرُّهُمْ وَاَمِنَ فِىْ مَوْطِنِ الْمَخَافَةِ سِرْبُهُمْ وَاطْمَاَنَّتْ بِالرُّجُوْعِ اِلٰى رَبِّ الْاَرْبَابِ اَنْفُسُهُمْ وَتَيَقَّنَتْ بِالْفَوْزِ وَالْفَلَاحِ اَرْوَاحُهُمْ وَقَرَّتْ بِالنَّظَرِ اِلٰى مَحْبُوْبِهِمْ اَعْيُنُهُمْ وَاسْتَقَرَّ بِاِدْرَاكِ السُّؤْلِ وَنَيْلِ الْمَاَمُوْلِ قَرَارُهُمْ وَرَبِحَتْ فِىْ بَيْعِ الدُّنْيَا بِالْاٰخِرَةِ تِجَارَتُهُمْ۔
Qad kushifa al-ghitaa'u 'an absaarihim wanjalat zulmatu ar-raybi 'an 'aqaa'idihim wadamaa'irihim wantafat mukhaalijatu ash-shakki 'an quloobihim wasaraa'irihim wansharahat bitahqeeqi al-ma'rifati sudooruhum wa'alat lisabqi as-sa'aadati fee az-zihaadati himamuhum wa'azuba fee ma'eeni al-mu'aamalati shirbuhum wataaba fee majlisi al-unsi sirruhum wa-amina fee mawtini al-makhaafati sirbuhum watma'annat bir-rujoo'i ilaa rabbi al-arbaabi anfusuhum watayaqqanat bil-fawzi wal-falaahi arwaahuhum waqarrat bin-nazari ilaa mahboobihim a'yunuhum wastaqarra bi-idraaki as-su'li wanayli al-ma'amooli qaraaruhum warabihat fee bay'i ad-dunyaa bil-aakhirati tijaaratuhum.
The covering has been lifted from their eyes, the darkness of disquiet has been dispelled from their beliefs and their innermost minds, the contention of doubt has been negated from their hearts and their secret thoughts, their breasts have expanded through the verification of true knowledge, their aspirations have ascended through precedent good fortune in renunciation, their drinking is sweet from the spring of devotion to good works, their secret thoughts are delicious in the sitting-place of intimacy, their minds are secure in the place of terror, their souls are serene through the return to the Lord of lords, their spirits have reached certitude through triumph and prosperity, their eyes have been gladdened through gazing upon their Beloved, their settling place has been settled through reaching the request and attaining the expectation, and their commerce has profited through the sale of this world for the next!
ان کی آنکھوں سے پردہ اٹھ چکا ہے اور شک کی کالک ان کے عقیدوں اور ضمیروں سے دور ہوگئی ہے ان کےدلوں اور باطنوں سے شبہ کے اثرات ختم ہوگئے ہیں صحیح معرفت حاصل ہونے سے ان کے سینے کھل چکے ہیں حصولِ سعادت کے لئے زہد میں ان کی ہمتیں بلند ہوگئی ہیں کردار کے چشمہ میں ان کا پینا شیریں ہے انس و محبت کی محفل میں ان کا باطن صاف ہے خوف ناک جگہوں پر ان کا گروہ امن میں ہے اور پالنے والوں کے پالنے والے کی طرف بازگشت سے ان کے نفس مطمئن ہیں ان کی روحوں کو کامیابی و کامرانی کا یقین ہے ان کی آنکھیں دیدارِ محبوب سے ٹھنڈی ہیں ان کو حاجتیں پوری ہونے اور مرادیں پوری ہونے سے قرار و سکون حاصل ہے آخرت کے بدلے دنیا بیچنے سے ان کا سودا نفع بخش ہے۔
اِلٰهِىْ مَا اَلَذَّ خَوَاطِرَ الْاِلْهَامِ بِذِكْرِكَ عَلَى الْقُلُوْبِ وَمَا اَحْلَى الْمَسِيْرَ اِلَيْكَ بِالْاَوْهَامِ فِىْ مَسَالِكِ الْغُيُوْبِ وَمَا اَطْيَبَ طَعْمَ حُبِّكَ وَمَا اَعْذَبَ شِرْبَ قُرْبِكَ فَاَعِذْنَا مِنْ طَرْدِكَ وَاِبْعَادِكَ وَاجْعَلْنَا مِنْ اَخَصِّ عَارِفِيْكَ وَاَصْلَحِ عِبَادِكَ وَاَصْدَقِ طَآئِعِيْكَ وَاَخْلَصِ عُبَّادِكَ يَاعَظِيْمُ يَاجَلِيْلُ يَاكَرِيْمُ يَامُنِيْلُ بِرَحْمَتِكَ وَمَنِّكَ يَآاَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ۔
Ilaahee maa alazza khawaatira al-ilhaami bizikrika 'alaa al-quloobi wamaa ahlaa al-maseera ilayka bil-awhaami fee masaaliki al-ghuyoobi wamaa atyaba ta'ma hubbika wamaa a'zaba shirba qurbika fa-a'iznaa min tardika wa-ib'aadika waj'alnaa min akhassi 'aarifeeka wa-aslahi 'ibaadika wa-asdaqi taa'i'eeka wa-akhlasi 'ubbaadika yaa 'azeemu yaa jaleelu yaa kareemu yaa muneelu birahmatika wamannika yaa arhama ar-raahimeen.
My God, how agreeable for hearts are the thoughts inspiring Thy remembrance, how sweet travelling to Thee through imagination upon the roads of the unseen worlds, how pleasant the taste of Thy love, how delightful the drink of Thy nearness! So give us refuge from Thy casting out and Thy sending far, and place us among the most elect of Thy knowers, the most righteous of Thy servants, the most truthful of Thy obeyers, the most sincere of Thy worshipers! O All-mighty, O Majestic, O Generous, O Endower! By Thy mercy and kindness, O Most Merciful of the merciful!
میرے معبود کیا ہی مزہ ہے ان خیالوں میں جو تیرے ذکر سے دلوں میں آتے ہیں اور کتنا شیریں ہے تیری طرف وہ سفر جو بخیالِ خود غیب کے راستوں پر جاری ہے کتنا اچھا ہے تیری محبت کا ذائقہ اور کتنا میٹھا ہے تیری قربت کا شربت پس بچا ہمیں کہ تیرے ہاں سے ہانکے جائیں اور تجھ سے دور رہیں ہمیں اپنے خصوصی عارفوں اور صالح ترین بندوں میں قرار دے اور اپنے سچے فرماں برداروں اور مخلص عبادت گزاروں میں رکھ اے عظمت والے اے جلالت والے اے مہربان اے عطا کرنے والے تجھے تیری رحمت و احسان کا واسطہ اے سب سے زیادہ رحم کرنے والے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allaahumma salli 'alaa muhammadin wa-aali muhammad.
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آلؑ پر۔
