Rites at Sunset
غروب آفتاب کے اعمال
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
اَحَطْتُ عَلٰى نَفْسِىْ وَاَهْلِىْ وَمَالِىْ وَوَلَدِىْ مِنْ غَائِبٍ وَشَاهِدٍ بِاللهِ الَّذِىْ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ عَالِمُ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ الرَّحْمٰنُ الرَّحِيْمُ الْحَىُّ الْقَيُّوْمُ لَا تَاْخُذُهٗ سِنَةٌ وَّلَا نَوْمٌ لَهٗ مَا فِي السَّمٰوٰتِ وَمَا فِي الْاَرْضِ مَنْ ذَا الَّذِيْ يَشْفَعُ عِنْدَهٗٓ اِلَّا بِاِذْنِهٖ يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ اَيْدِيْهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَلَا يُحِيْطُوْنَ بِشَيْءٍ مِّنْ عِلْمِهٖٓ اِلَّا بِمَا شَاۗءَ وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضَ وَلَا يَئُوْدُهٗ حِفْظُهُمَا وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيْمُ۔
A-hatto a’laa nafsee wa ahlee wa maalee wa waladee min ghaa-e-bin wa shaahe-din billaa-hil lazee laa ilaaha illaa howa ‘aale-mul ghaiy-be wash-shahaa-datir rahmaa-nur rahee-mul haiyyul qaiyyoo-mo laataa khozo-hu sena-tun walaa nau-moon, lahu maa fis samaawaate wa maa fil arze, man zal-lazee yash-fa’o ‘inda-hu illaa be-izne-hi, y’a-lamo maa baiy-na ai-dee-him wa maa khalfa-hum, wa laa yohee-toona be-shai-in min ‘ilme-hi illaa be-maa shaaa-a, wase’a kursi-yo-hus samaawaate wal arza, wa laa ya-oodo-hu hifzo-ho-maa, wa howal ‘aliyyul ‘azeem.
Allah is He besides Whom there is no god, the Everliving, the Self-subsisting by Whom all subsist; slumber does not overtake Him nor sleep; whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is His; who is he that can intercede with Him but by His permission? He knows what is before them and what is behind them, and they cannot comprehend anything out of His knowledge except what He pleases, His knowledge extends over the heavens and the earth, and the preservation of them both tires Him not, and He is the Most High, the Great.
احاطہ کيا ميں نے اپنے نفس پر اپنے اہل اپنے مال اور اولاد ميں غائب اور حاضر پر اس الله کا جس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہيں وه ظاہر و پوشيده سے واقف، رحم والا، مہربان، زنده و پائنده ہے، اسے نہ نیند آتی ہے نہ اُونگھ، آسمانوں اور زمین میں جو کچھ بھی ہے سب اسی کا ہے، کون ہے جو اس کی بارگاہ میں اس کی اجازت کے بغیر سفارش کرسکے، وہ جو کچھ ان کے سامنے ہے اور جو پس پشت ہے سب کوجانتا ہے اور یہ اس کے علم کے ایک حصّہ کا بھی احاطہ نہیں کرسکتے مگر وہ جس قدر چاہے، اس کی کرس علم و اقتدار، زمین و آسمان سے وسیع تر ہے اور اسے ا ن کے تحفظ میں کوئی تکلیف بھی نہیں ہوتی وہ عالی مرتبہ بھی ہے اور صاحبِ عظمت بھی۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allahumma swalle alaa muhammadiw wa aale muhammadin
Allah’s (s.w.t) choicest blessings be upon Mohammed and his holy progeny.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آل ؑپر۔
