طلب وابستگی
The reciter declares themselves bound to Allah, the One and Unique, who gives life to the dead and is their inheritor, who does not beget, and who watches over His creatures. Each passage repeats that Allah has no partner: He neither tires nor sleeps, He knows what the eyes do and what the hearts keep secret, He knows the heavens and the earth and what lies between them and beneath them, and He sees everyone while no one sees Him. It is a text of attachment, in which the reciter seeks nearness, protection and refuge in Allah alone.
Lines marked auto had their transliteration produced from the vowelled Arabic rather than typed by hand, and the Centre’s alim has not read them yet. The Arabic is the text: where the two differ, follow the Arabic.
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
اِعْتَصَمْتُ بِحَبْلِ اللهِ الَّذِیْ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ الْبَاعِثُ الْوَارِثُ، اِعْتَصَمْتُ بِاللهِ الَّذِیْ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ الْقَاۗئِمُ عَلٰی كُلِّ نَفْسٍ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ، اِعْتَصَمْتُ بِاللهِ الَّذِیْ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ قَالَ لِلسَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ ائْتِیَا طَوْعًا وَكَرْهًا قَالَتَا آتَیْنَا طَاۗئِعِیْنَ، اِعْتَصَمْتُ بِاللهِ الَّذِیْ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ لَا تَاخُذُهٗ سِنَۃٌ وَلَا نَوْمٌ۔
I'tasamtu bihabli allaahi allazee laa allaaha illaa huwa al-baa'ithu al-waarithu, i'tasamtu billaahi allazee laa allaaha illaa huwa al-qaa'imu 'alaa kulli nafsin bimaa kasabat, i'tasamtu billaahi allazee laa allaaha illaa huwa qaala lis-samaawaati wal-ardi a'tiyaa taw'an wakarhan qaalataa aataynaa taa'i'eena, i'tasamtu billaahi allazee laa allaaha illaa huwa laa taakhuzuhoo sinatun walaa nawmun. auto
I am linked with such a bond with Allah who is One the Unique. He is the one to give life to the dead and is their inheritor. I hold the robe of such a majestic Allah who neither begets, who looks after creatures and is their custodian. I seek proximity to Allah who does not have a partner and he told the earth and the skies, that he prepared for our commands neither willingly or unwillingly both replied we are ready willingly.
میں اللہ کے اس رستے سے وابستہ ہوتا ہوں جو اللہ یکتا و یگانہ ہے، وہی مردوں کو دوبارہ زندہ کرنے والا اور سب کا وارث ہے۔ اس اللہ کے دامن عزّت کو پکڑتا ہوں جو وحدہٗ لا شریک ہے، وہ ہر ذات اور اس کے اعمال کا نگران ہے، میں اس اللہ کے دامن عزّت سے وابستہ ہوتا ہوں جو وحدہٗ لا شریک ہے جس نے زمین اور آسمانوں سے کہا: تم دونوں خوشی یا ناخوشی کے ساتھ ہمارے حکم کے لئے تیار رہو، دونوں نے کہا: ہم خوشی سے تیار ہیں۔ اس اللہ سے سہارا طلب کرتا ہوں جو وحدہٗ لا شریک ہے، جسے سُستی اور نیند نہیں آتی۔
اِعْتَصَمْتُ بِاللهِ الَّذِیْ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ الرَّحْمٰنُ عَلَی الْعَرْشِ اسْتَوٰی یَعْلَمُ خَاۗئِنَۃَ الْاَعْیُنِ وَمَا تُخْفِی الصُّدُوْرُ، اِعْتَصَمْتُ بِاللهِ الَّذِیْ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ لَهٗ مَا فِی السَّمٰوٰتِ وَمَا فِی الْاَرْضِ وَمَا بَیْنَهُمَا وَمَا تَحْتَ الثَّرٰی اِعْتَصَمْتُ بِاللهِ الَّذِیْ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ یَرٰی وَلَا یُرٰی وَهُوَ بِالْمَنْظَرِ الْاَعْلٰی رَبِّ الْآخِرَۃِ وَالْاُوْلٰی، اِعْتَصَمْتُ بِاللهِ الَّذِیْ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ اَلَّذِیْ ذَلَّ كُلَّ شَیْءٍ لِمُلْكِهٖ۔
I'tasamtu billaahi allazee laa allaaha illaa huwa ar-rahmaanu 'alaa al-'arshi astawaa ya'lamu khaa'inata al-a'yuni wamaa tukhfee as-sudooru, i'tasamtu billaahi allazee laa allaaha illaa huwa lahoo maa fee as-samaawaati wamaa fee al-ardi wamaa baynahumaa wamaa tahta ath-tharaa i'tasamtu billaahi allazee laa allaaha illaa huwa yaraa walaa yuraa wahuwa bil-manzari al-a'laa rabbi al-aakhirati wal-oolaa, i'tasamtu billaahi allazee laa allaaha illaa huwa allazee zalla kulla shay'in limulkihee. auto
I seek protection from Allah who does not have a partner who is neither lazy nor sleeps. I seek nearness to Allah who does not have a partner. He is beneficent who rules in the skies who is aware of the action of the eyes and the secrets of the hearts. I seek refuge in Allah who does not have a partner and is aware of things in the Heavens and the Earth and the things in between them and also that which is below the crust of the earth.
اس اللہ سے پناہ طلب ہوں جو وحدہٗ لا شریک ہے وہ رحمٰن ہے جو عرش پر بھی حکمران جسے آنکھوں کے اشارے بھی معلوم ہیں اور دلوں کے بھید بھی، میں اس اللہ سے پناہ مانگتا ہوں جو وحدہٗ لا شریک ہے، زمین و آسمان اور ان دونوں کے درمیان اور خاک کے نیچے جو کچھ ہے وہ انہیں جانتا ہے۔ میں اس اللہ سے پناہ مانگتا ہوں جو وحدہٗ لا شریک ہے، وہ سب کو دیکھتا ہے مگر دکھائی نہیں دیتا، حالانکہ وہ جلوہ گاہ نمایاں میں ہے، انجام و آغاز کا مالک ہے۔
اِعْتَصَمْتُ بِاللهِ الَّذِیْ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ الَّذِیْ خَضَعَ كُلَّ شَیْءٍ لِعَظْمَتِهٖ، اِعْتَصَمْتُ بِاللهِ الَّذِیْ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ فِیْ عُلُوِّهٖ دَانٍ وَفِیْ دُنُوِّهٖ عَالٍ وَّفِیْ سُلْطَا نِهٖ قَوِیٌّ اِعْتَصَمْتُ بِاللهِ الَّذِیْ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ الْبَدِیْعُ الرَّفِیْعُ الْحَیُّ الدَّائِمُ الْبَاقِیُ الَّذِیْ لَا یَزُوْلُ، اِعْتَصَمْتُ بِاللهِ الَّذِیْ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ الَّذِیْ لَا تَصِفُ الْاَ لْسُنُ قُدْرَتَهُ، اِعْتَصَمْتُ بِاللهِ الَّذِیْ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ الْحَیُّ الْقَیُّوْمُ لَاتَا خُذُهٗ سِنَۃٌ وَّلَا نَوْمٌ۔
I'tasamtu billaahi allazee laa allaaha illaa huwa allazee khada'a kulla shay'in li'azmatihee, i'tasamtu billaahi allazee laa allaaha illaa huwa fee 'uluwwihee daanin wafee dunuwwihee 'aalin wafee sultaa nihee qawiyyun i'tasamtu billaahi allazee laa allaaha illaa huwa al-badee'u ar-rafee'u al-hayyu ad-daa'imu al-baaqiyu allazee laa yazoolu, i'tasamtu billaahi allazee laa allaaha illaa huwa allazee laa tasifu al-a lsunu qudratahu, i'tasamtu billaahi allazee laa allaaha illaa huwa al-hayyu al-qayyoomu laataa khuzuhoo sinatun walaa nawmun. auto
I seek protection from Allah who does not have a partner who sees everyone but is not seen by anyone although He is at a place of manifestation from start to end. I seek nearness from Allah who does not have a partner and in front of whose Majesty everythings bow their head. I seek proximity to Allah who does not have a partner who inspite of being near is on the great heights and although being on great heights is near and is powerful.
اس اللہ سے وابستہ ہوں جو وحدہٗ لا شریک ہے جس کے حضور میں عظمت کی وجہ سے تمام چیزیں گردن جھکائے ہیں۔ اس اللہ سے وابستگی چاہتا ہوں جو وحدہٗ لا شریک ہے وہ بلندیوں کے باوجود قریب اور قریب ہوتے ہوئے بہت بلند اور اپنی قدرت میں توانا ہے۔ میں اس اللہ سے وابستگی چاہتا ہوں جو وحدہٗ لا شریک ہے، جس کی قدرت زبانوں کے ذریعے سراہی نہیں جا سکتی۔ اس اللہ سے پناہ مانگتا ہوں جو وحدہٗ لا شریک ہے، وہ زندہ ہے اور قائم و دائم ہے جسے اُنگھ اور نیند نہیں آتی۔
اِعْتَصَمْتُ بِاللهِ الَّذِیْ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ الْحَنَّانُ الْمَنَّانُ ذُو الْجَلَالِ وَالْاِكْرَامُ، اِعْتَصَمْتُ بِاللهِ الَّذِیْ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ الْاَحْدُ الْفَرْدُ الصَّمَدُ الَّذِیْ لَمْ یَلِدْ وَلَمْ یُوْلَدْ وَلَمْ یَكُنْ لَّهٗ كُفُوًا اَحَدٌ، اِعْتَصَمْتُ بِاللهِ الَّذِیْ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ اَكْرَمُ الْاَكْرَمِیْنَ الْكَبِیْرُ الْاَكْبَرُ الْاَعْلٰی، اِعْتَصَمْتُ بِاللهِ الَّذِیْ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ بِیَدِهِ الْخَیْرُ كُلُّهٗ وَهُوَ عَلٰی كُلِّ شَیْءٍ قَدِیْرٌ۔
I'tasamtu billaahi allazee laa allaaha illaa huwa al-hannaanu al-mannaanu zoo al-jalaali wal-ikraamu, i'tasamtu billaahi allazee laa allaaha illaa huwa al-ahdu al-fardu as-samadu allazee lam yalid walam yoolad walam yakun lahoo kufuwan ahadun, i'tasamtu billaahi allazee laa allaaha illaa huwa akramu al-akrameena al-kabeeru al-akbaru al-a'laa, i'tasamtu billaahi allazee laa allaaha illaa huwa biyadihi al-khayru kulluhoo wahuwa 'alaa kulli shay'in qadeerun. auto
I seek nearness to Allah who does not have a partner whose power cannot be described by tongues. I seek refuge in Allah who does not have a partner who is living and eternal who neither doses nor sleeps. I seek nearness to Allah who does not have a partner. He is extremely beneficent and an obliger beyond measure possessor of grandeur and majesty. I seek proximity to Allah who does not have a partner and is self-sufficient that neither He begets nor He is begotten and there is no one like Him.
اس اللہ سے وابستگی چاہتا ہوں جو ایک ہے جس کا کوئی ساجھی نہیں، وہ انتہائی مہربان اور حد سے زیادہ احسان کرنے والا، صاحبِ جلال و اعزاز ہے۔ اس اللہ سے وابستگی چاہتا ہوں جو وحدہٗ لا شریک ہے جو یگان و یکتا اور ایسا بے نیاز ہے کہ نہ وہ کسی کا فرزند ہے نہ کوئی اور اس کا فرزند نہ کوئی اس کا ہمسر۔ میں اس اللہ سے وابستگی چاہتا ہوں جو وحدہٗ لا شریک ہے وہ کریموں سے بڑا کریم، بڑوں سے بڑا اور ممتاز تر ہے۔ میں اس اللہ سے وابستگی چاہتا ہوں جو وحدہٗ لا شریک ہے، نیکیاں اسی کے قبضۂ قدرت میں ہیں اور وہی ہر چیز پر قادر ہے۔
اِعْتَصَمْتُ بِاللهِ الَّذِیْ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ یُسَبِّحُ لَهٗ مَا فِی السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ كُلٌّ لَّهٗ قَانِتُوْنَ، اِعْتَصَمْتُ بِاللهِ الَّذِیْ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ الْحَیُّ الْحَكِیْمُ السَّمِیْعُ الْعَلِیْمُ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمُ، اِعْتَصَمْتُ بِاللهِ الَّذِیْ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ عَلَیْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَهُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِیْمِ بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ۔
I'tasamtu billaahi allazee laa allaaha illaa huwa yusabbihu lahoo maa fee as-samaawaati wal-ardi kullun lahoo qaanitoona, i'tasamtu billaahi allazee laa allaaha illaa huwa al-hayyu al-hakeemu as-samee'u al-'aleemu ar-rahmaani ar-raheemu, i'tasamtu billaahi allazee laa allaaha illaa huwa 'alayhi tawakkaltu wahuwa rabbu al-'arshi al-'azeemi bismi allaahi ar-rahmaani ar-raheemi. auto
I seek refuge in Allah who does not have a partner all the goodness is in His control and He has power over all things. I seek closeness to Allah who does not have a partner everything in the Heavens and Earth glorify Him and everything is obedient to Him. I seek proximity to Allah who has no partner. He is living and wise, the hearing, the knowing, the beneficient, the merciful. I seek closeness to Allah who does not have a partner. I rely on Him who is the possessor of the heavens.
اس اللہ سے وابستگی چاہتا ہوں جو وحدہٗ لا شریک ہے، زمین و آسمان میں ہر چیز اس کی تسبیح خواں اور تمام چیزین اسی کی فرماں بردار ہیں۔ اس اللہ سے وابستگی چاہتا ہوں جو وحدہٗ لا شریک ہے، وہ حیّ (زندہ) و حکیم (حکمت والا) سننے والا اور جاننے والا ہے، مہربان اور رحم کرنے والا ہے۔ میں اس اللہ سے پناہ مانگتا ہوں جو وحدہٗ لا شریک ہے، اسی پر توکل کرتا ہوں، وہی صاحبِ عرشِ بریں ہے، شروع کرتا ہوں اللہ تعالٰی کے نام سے جو نہایت مہربان اور بیحد رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّیْ اَسْئَلُكَ وَاَنْتَ اَعْلَمُ بِمَسْئَلَتِیْ وَاَطْلُبُ اِلَیْكَ وَاَنْتَ الْعَالِمُ بِحَاجَتِیْ وَاَرْغَبُ اِلَیْكَ وَاَنْتَ مُنْتَهٰی رَغْبَتِیْ فَیَا عَالِمَ الْخَفِیَّاتِ وَسَامِكَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَدَافِعَ الْبَلِیَّاتِ وَمَطْلَبَ الْحَاجَاتِ وَمُعْطِیَ السُّؤَلَاتِ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ خَاتِمِ النَّبِیِّیْنَ وَعَلٰی آلِهِ الطَّیِّبِیْنَ الطَّاهِرِیْنَ۔ اَللّٰهُمَّ اغْفِرْلِیْ خَطِیْئَتِیْ وَاِسْرَافِیْ فِیْ اَمْرِیْ كُلِّهٖ وَمَا اَنْتَ اَعْلَمُ بِهٖ مِنِّیْ۔
Allaahumma innee as'aluka waanta a'lamu bimas'alatee waatlubu ilayka waanta al-'aalimu bihaajatee waarghabu ilayka waanta muntahaa raghbatee fayaa 'aalima al-khafiyyaati wasaamika as-samaawaati wadaafi'a al-baliyyaati wamatlaba al-haajaati wamu'tiya as-su'alaati salli 'alaa muhammadin khaatimi an-nabiyyeena wa'alaa aalihi at-tayyibeena at-taahireena.
Allaahumma aghfirlee khatee'atee waisraafee fee amree kullihee wamaa anta a'lamu bihee minnee. auto
I being in the name of Allah, the beneficent, the merciful. O Allah! I ask from You, although You are well aware of my desires, I seek from You where as You know my wants, I have turned to You and You are aware of my defects. O the one who raises the skies, O the averter of troubles, O the refuge of needy, O the one to fulfil the desires send blessings on Mohammad (s.a.w.a) and his Progeny (a.s) the pure. O Allah forgive my sins and all those things which You are aware of more than me.
اے معبود!میں تجھ سے مانگتا ہوں حالانکہ میری تمنّا کو تو اچھی طرح جانتا ہے، تجھ سے سوال کرتا ہوں، حالانکہ تو میری ضرورت سے اچھی طرح واقف ہے، میں تیری طرف مائل ہوتا ہوں اور توہی میری رغبتوں کی انتہا ہے، تو اے رازوں کے واقف اور اے آسمانوں کے بلند کرنے والے، اے بلاؤں کے دور کرنے والے، ضرورتوں کی منزل و مرکز، اے سوالات پورا کرنے والے، حضرت محمدؐ آخری نبی اور ان کی پاک و پاکیزہ اولاد پر رحمت نازل فرما۔ خدایا! میری خطائیں، میری اپنی معاملے میں تمام زیادتیاں، معاف کر دت اور ان باتوں کو بھی معاف کر دے جنہیں تو مجھ سے بہتر جانتا ہے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ اغْفِرْلِیْ خَطَایَایَ وَعَمْدِیْ وَجَهْلِیْ وَهَزْلِیْ وَجِدِّیْ فَكُلَّ ذٰلِكَ عِنْدِیْ۔ اَللّٰهُمَّ اغْفِرْلِیْ مَا قَدَّمَتُ وَمَا اَخَّرْتُ وَمَا اَسْرَرْتُ وَمَا اَعْلَنْتُ اَنْتَ الْمُقَدِّمُ وَاَنْتَ الْمُؤَخِّرُ وَاَنْتَ عَلٰی كُلِّ شَیْءٍ قَدِیْرٌ۔
Allaahumma aghfirlee khataayaaya wa'amdee wajahlee wahazlee wajiddee fakulla zaalika 'indee.
Allaahumma aghfirlee maa qaddamatu wamaa akhkhartu wamaa asrartu wamaa a'lantu anta al-muqaddimu waanta al-mu'akhkhiru waanta 'alaa kulli shay'in qadeerun. auto
O Allah forgive those sins which I have committed knowingly or in ignorance, in happiness or in sorrow, purposely or unintentionally. O Allah! Forgive my sins which I have committed or which I will commit in future in private or in public forgive them as You are the first and the last and You have power over all things.
خدایا! میری غلطیاں، میرے ارادے اور جبری و ناواقفی، سنجیدگی و غیر سنجیدگی میں سرزد ہونے والے غلت اقدامات معاف فرما دے، کیونکہ مجھ سے یہ سب کچھ ہوتا ہے۔ خدایا! جو گناہ پہلے کر چکا ہوں یا بعد میں سرزد ہوں جنہیں چھاپایا ہو یا ظاہر کیا ہو، سب کچھ معاف فرما کہ تو مقدم بھی ہے اور مؤخّر بھی اور تو ہی ہر چیز پر قدرت رکتا ہے۔
اِنْ تَغْفِرْ اَللّٰهُمَّ اغْفِرْ جَمًّا، وَاَیُّ عَبْدٍ لَّكَ لَا اَلْمَّا۔
In taghfir allaahumma aghfir jamman, waayyu 'abdin laka laa al-mmaa. auto
O Allah, if You pardon me, pardon me completely because who is that creature who has never committed a sin.
الٰہی! اگر معاف فرما تو مکمل معافی دے کیونکہ وہ کون بندہ ہے جس نے گناہ نہ کئے ہوں۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allahumma swalle alaa muhammadiw wa aale muhammadin
Allah’s (s.w.t) choicest blessings be upon Mohammed and his holy progeny.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آل ؑپر۔
