امام علیؑ کو کسی بات سے دکھ پہنچتا تھا تو یہ دعا کرتے تھے۔

بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

Bismi allaahi ar-rahmaani ar-raheem

In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

اَللّٰهُمَّ احْرُسْنِیْ بِعَیْنِكَ الَّتِیْ لَا تَنَامُ وَاكْنُفْنِیْ بِرُكْنِكَ الَّذِیْ لَا یُضَامُ وَاغْفِرْ لِیْ بِقُدْرَتِكَ عَلَیَّ یَا رَبِّ لَا اَهْلِكُ وَاَنْتَ الرَّجَآئُ۔

اَللّٰهُمَّ اَنْتَ اَعَزُّ وَاَكْبَرُ مِمَّا اَخَافُ وَاَحْذَرُ بِاللهِ اَسْتَنْجِحُ وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ رَسُوْلِ اللهِ صَلَّی اللهُ عَلَیْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ اَتَوَجَّهُ۔

یَا كَافِیَ اِبْرٰهٖمَ نَمْرُوْدَ وَمُوْسٰی فِرْعَوْنَ اِكْفِنِیْ مِمَّا اَنَا فِیْهِ اَللهُ رَبِّیْ لَا اُشْرِكُ بِهٖ شَیْئًا حَسْبِیَ الرَّبُّ مِنَ الْمَرْبُوْبِیْنَ حَسْبِیَ الْخَالِقُ مِنَ الْمَخْلُوْقِیْنَ حَسْبِیَ الْمَانِعُ مِنَ الْمَمْنُوْعِیْنَ حَسْبِیْ مَنْ لَمْ یَزَلْ حَسْبِیَ مُذْ قَطُّ۔

حَسْبِیَ اللهُ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اللهُ عَلَیْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَهُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِیْمِ۔

Allaahumma uhrusnee bi'aynika allatee laa tanaamu waknufnee biruknika allazee laa yudaamu waghfir lee biqudratika 'alayya yaa rabbi laa ahliku wa-anta ar-rajaa'.

Allaahumma anta a'azzu wa-akbaru mimmaa akhaafu wa-ahzaru billaahi astanjihu wabimuhammadin rasooli allaahi sallaa allaahu 'alayhi wa-aalihee atawajjah.

Yaa kaafiya ibraaheema namrooda wamoosaa fir'awna ikfinee mimmaa anaa feehi allaahu rabbee laa ushriku bihee shay'an hasbiya ar-rabbu mina al-marboobeena hasbiya al-khaaliqu mina al-makhlooqeena hasbiya al-maani'u mina al-mamnoo'eena hasbee man lam yazal hasbiya muz qatt.

Hasbiya allaahu laa ilaaha illaa allaahu 'alayhi tawakkaltu wahuwa rabbu al-'arshi al-'azeem.

O Allah! Look at me attentively with the eyes, which never sleep, and help me with the power, which is never subdued, and forgive me by Your power over me. O Lord! When You are my hope I can never be destroyed. O Lord! You are far greater and above to the one whom I fear, I seek success from Allah and I turn through the means of Mohammed (peace be on him and his progeny). O the sufficient and the protector of Prophet Ibrahim (a.s) against Nimrod and O the one to save Prophet Moses (a.s) from the clutches of Pharaoh, save me from these problems. Allah is my nourisher and I do not ascribe a partner to Him. Sufficient is He as a nourisher for all the nourished, the Creator for all the creations and the one to stop from prohibited things. He is sufficient who is sufficient always since the time of my existence that Allah is sufficient; there is no god but Allah. I rely on Him and He is the Lord of the great throne.

خدایا! اپنی اس نظر سے توجہ فرما جسے کبھی نیند نہیں آتی، اور اپنی اس مدد سے حمایت کر جسے زیر نہیں کیا جا سکتا، اپنی قدرت سے مجھے بخش دے۔ اے پروردگار! جب تو امید ہے تو میں ہلاک نہیں ہو سکتا، بار الٰہا! جس سے بھی میں ڈر رہا ہوں تو اس سے کہیں زیادہ بزرگ و برتر ہے۔ اللہ سے کامیابی چاہتا ہوں اور حضرت محمد مصطفٰیؐ (کہ ان پر اور ان کی اولاد پر خدا تعالٰی کی رحمت نازل ہو) کے طفیل میں رخ کرتا ہوں۔ اے نمرود سے جناب ابراہیمؑ کو محفوظ رکھنے والے اور اے جناب موسٰیؑ کو فرعون سے بچانے والے، جن مشکلات میں ہوں ان میں میری کفایت فرما۔ اللہ ہی میرا پالنے والا ہے، میں اس کا کسی کو بھی شریک نہیں مانتا، پرورش پانے والوں کے لئے وہ پالنے والا ہی کافی ہے، مخلوقات کے لئے ان کا خالق اور ممنوع شدہ چیزوں کے لئے وہ روکنے والا ہی بہت ہے، وہ کافی ہے جو مجھے ہمیشہ ہمیشہ سے کافی ہے، جب سے بھی میں ہوں میرے لئے وہ اللہ کافی ہے جس کے علاوہ کوئی اللہ نہیں، اسی پر میرا بھروسہ ہے اور وہی عرش عظیم کا مالک ہے۔

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔

Allaahumma salli 'alaa muhammadin wa-aali muhammad.

O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.

اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آلؑ پر۔
