Before Chehloom
چہلم سے پہلے
Continue from the death day till the 40th day (Chehloom) all momeneen should gather daily on Maghrib at the residence of the marhoom and perform the below amaal while blowing each day on the water…
مرنے کے دن سے مسلسل ۴۰ دن (چہلم) تک مومنین کو چاہیے کہ وہ مغرب کے وقت مرنے والے کے گھر جمع ہو کر اس طرح سے عمل انجام دے کر پانی پر دم کرے۔۔۔
a) Surah Fateha.
ا) سورۂ فاتحہ
b) Surah Yaasin.
ب) سورۂ یس
c) Surah Mulk.
ت) سورۂ ملک
d) Surah Ikhlaas.
ث) سورۂ اخلاص
e) Surah Kaafiroon.
ج) سورۂ کافرون
f) Surah Falaq.
ح) سورۂ فلق
g) Surah Naas.
خ) سورۂ ناس
h) Aayatul Kursi.
د) آیت الکرسی
i) Aayat-e-Mulk Aale Imran (3:26-27).
j) Aamanar Rasoolo Baqarah (2:285-286).
k) Shahedallaahu Aale Imran (3:18-19).

۴۰ دنوں میں ہر ایک ذکر کی ۱۰۰۰ تسبیح (تقریبًا ایک دن میں ۲۵ تسبیح) پڑھے۔۔۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
ALLAAHUMMA SALLI 'ALAA MUHAMMADIN WA-AALI MUHAMMAD.
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آلؑ پر۔
اَسْتَغْفِرُ اللہَ رَبِّیْ وَ اَتُوْبُ اِلَیْہِ۔
ASTAGHFIRU ALLAAHA RABBEE WA ATOOBU ILAYH.
I seek the forgiveness of Allah, my Lord, and I repent before Him.
معافی چاہتا ہوں اللہ سے جو میرا رب ہے اور اسکے حضور توبہ کرتا ہوں۔
Daily after the amaal, momeneen should pray for the forgiveness of marhoom and on the 40th day (Chehloom) the reward (sawaab) of this 40 days amaal along with the special amaal of Chehloom should be gifted to the marhoom and the blown water should be put on his grave.
روزانہ اعمال کے بعد مرحوم کی مغفرت کی دعا کرے اور چہلم کے دن اس ۴۰ دن کے اعمال اور چہلم کے مخصوص اعمال کو ملا کر مرحوم کو بخش دے اور دم کئے ہوئے پانی کو مرحوم کی قبر پر ڈال دے۔
Family members of the marhoom should complete his/her Qaza Namaz (ie. 5 time’s Namaz, Namaz of pledge and promises, Namaz-e-Aayaat etc.), Qaza Fasting (ie. Fast of Mahe Ramazan and Fast of pledge and promises) if there is pending on the marhoom.
گھر والوں کو چاہئے کہ وہ مرنے والے کی قضا نماز (یعنی ۵ وقت کی نمازیں، نذر و عہد کی نماز، نماز آیات وغیرہ)، قضا روزے (یعنی ماہ رمضان یا نذر و عہد کا روزہ) اگر چھوٹ گئے ہوں تو اس کو ادا کرے۔
Also see that if there are any dues of Khums, Zakat (example Fitra) or anybody's haq is on the marhoom the family members should pay it from the 1/3 of his property and the remaining amount should be used if he has done any wasiyyat (will). Remaining 2/3 should be distributed to the inheritors according to the Islamic laws.
اس بات کا بھی خیال رہے کہ اگر مرنے والے پر کوئی خمس، زکوٰۃ (مثلًا فطرہ) یا کسی کا قرض باقی ہو تو فوراً اس کے ۱/۳ مال میں سے ادا کرے اور ۱/۳ مال میں جو بچ جائے اس سے اس کی اگر کوئی وصیّت ہو تو اس کو بھی پورا کرے۔ باقی ۲/۳ مال میں شریعت کے مطابق وارث داروں کو ان کا حق دے دیا جائے۔
