Surah Naas (114, 6 ayat)سورۂ ناس

Allah is addressed here in three successive titles, the Lord of men, the King of men, the God of men, as the One in whom refuge is sought. What is fled from is the evil of the whisperings of the slinking Shaitan, who whispers into the hearts of men, and the text ends by placing that whisperer among the jinn and the men.

People (Makki)

Surah Naas and Falaq are together called Mauzatain. Imam Jafar Sadiq (a) has said that whoever recites this Surah in his house every night, will be kept safe from Jinnaat and the evil designs of Shaitaan. If this Surah is put around the neck of a child as a talisman, the child will be protected from Jinnat. Reciting the Mauzatain before sleeping is a means of safety and if recited on any part of the body that is paining, the pain will be relieved.

رسول اکرمؐ سخت مریض ہوئے جبرئیل آنحضرتؐ کے سرہانے اورمیکائیل پائینتی کھڑے ہوئے جبرئیل سورۂ فلق کی اور میکائیل سورۂ ناس کی تلاوت کرکے رسول اکرمؐ کو خدا کی پناہ میں دے رہے تھے (مجمع البیان،ج۱۰ص۴۹۵)۔ جو شخص گھر سے باہر نکلے اور سورۂ فلق اور ناس کو پڑھے تو وہ نظرِ بد سے محفوظ رہے گا۔ جو شخص نیند میں ڈرتا ہو وہ آیت الکرسی کے ساتھ ان دونوں سوروں کو پڑھے۔

بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

Bismi allaahi ar-rahmaani ar-raheem

In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

قُلْ اَعُوْذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ

Qul a'oozu birabbi an-naas

Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of men

اے رسول! کہہ دیجئے کہ میں انسانوں کے پروردگار کی پناہ چاہتا ہوں۔

مَلِكِ النَّاسِ

Maliki an-naas

The King of men

جو تمام لوگوں کا مالک اور بادشاہ ہے۔

اِلٰهِ النَّاسِ

Ilaahi an-naas

The God of men

سارے انسانوں کا معبود ہے۔

مِنْ شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاسِ

Min sharri al-waswaasi al-khannaas

From the evil of the whisperings of the slinking (Shaitan)

شیطانی وسوسے کے شر سے جو نامِ خدا سن کر پیچھے ہٹ جاتا ہے۔

اَلَّذِيْ يُوَسْوِسُ فِيْ صُدُوْرِ النَّاسِ

Allazee yuwaswisu fee sudoori an-naas

Who whispers into the hearts of men

اور جو لوگوں کے دلوں میں وسوسے پیدا کراتا ہے۔

مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ

Mina al-jinnati wan-naas

From among the jinn and the men.

وہ جنّات میں سے ہو یا انسانوں میں سے۔

صَدَقَ اللهُ الْعَلِیُّ الْعَظِیْمُ۔

Sadaqa allaahu al-'aliyyu al-'azeem.

Almighty God the most high speaks the truth.

اللہ بزرگ و برتر نے سچ فرمایا ہے۔
