Dawn (Makki)

بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem

In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

قُلْ اَعُوْذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ

Qul a’oozu bi rabbil-falaq.

Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of the dawn

کہہ دیجئے کہ میں صبح کے مالک کی پناہ چاہتا ہوں۔

مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ

Min sharri maa khalaq.

From the evil of what He has created

تمام مخلوقات کے شر سے۔

وَمِنْ شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ اِذَا وَقَبَ

Wa min sharri ghaasiqin izaa waqab.

And from the evil of the utterly dark night when it comes

اور اندھیری رات کے شر سے جب اس کا اندھیرا چھا جائے۔

وَمِنْ شَرِّ النَّفّٰثٰتِ فِي الْعُقَدِ

Wa min sharrin-naffaa-saati fil ’uqad.

And from the evil of those who blow on knots

اور گنڈوں پر پھونکنے والیوں کے شر سے۔

وَمِنْ شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ اِذَا حَسَدَ

Wa min sharri haasidin izaa hasad.

And from the evil of the envious when he envies.

اور ہر حسد کرنے والے کے شر سے جب بھی وہ حسد کرے۔

Sadaqallahul aliyyul azeem

Almighty God the most high speaks the truth.

اللہ بزرگ و برتر نے سچ فرمایا ہے۔
