Surah Feel (105, 5 ayat)سورۂ فیل

The listener is asked directly whether he has considered how his Lord dealt with the possessors of the elephant. The answer comes as further questions: that He caused their war to end in confusion, sent flocks of birds down upon them, and had stones of baked clay cast against them. The passage closes with them rendered like straw eaten up.

Elephant (Makki)

It is narrated from Imam Jafar Sadiq (a) that whoever recites this Surah in his waajib namaz, the mountains will bear witness on the Day of Judgement that he prayed and he will be taken to Jannah on the command of Allah (s).The person who recites this Surah is kept safe from his enemies and has his difficulties and problems solved quickly. Recitation of this Surah is also helpful in remaining safe from evil tyrant rulers.

امام صادقؑ نے فرمایا:جوشخص واجب نماز میں سورۂ فیل وقریش کی تلاوت کرے گاروزِ قیامت زمین کا ہر نشیب وفراز اس کے نمازی ہونے پر گواہی دے گا۔ (مجمع البیان، ج۱۰ص۴۴۱)

بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

Bismi allaahi ar-rahmaani ar-raheem

In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

اَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِاَصْحٰبِ الْفِيْلِ

Alam tara kayfa fa'ala rabbuka bi-ashaabi al-feel

Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with the possessors of the elephant?

کیا تم نے نہیں دیکھا کہ تمہارے رب نے ہاتھی والوں کے ساتھ کیا برتاؤ کیا ہے۔

اَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ كَيْدَهُمْ فِيْ تَضْلِيْلٍ

Alam yaj'al kaydahum fee tadleel

Did He not cause their war to end in confusion

کیا ان کی چال کو بے کار نہیں کر دیا ہے۔

وَاَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ طَيْرًا اَبَابِيْلَ

Wa-arsala 'alayhim tayran abaabeel

And send down (to prey) upon them birds in flocks

اور ان پر اڑتی ہوئی ابابیل کو بھیج دیا ہے۔

تَرْمِيْهِمْ بِحِجَارَةٍ مِّنْ سِجِّيْلٍ

Tarmeehim bihijaaratin min sijjeel

Casting against them stones of baked clay

جو انہیں کھرنجوں کی کنکریاں مار رہی تھیں۔

فَجَعَلَهُمْ كَعَصْفٍ مَّاْكُوْلٍ

Faja'alahum ka'asfin ma'kool

So He rendered them like straw eaten up?

پھر اس نے ان سب کو چبائے ہوئے بھوسے کے مانند بنا دیا۔

صَدَقَ اللهُ الْعَلِیُّ الْعَظِیْمُ۔

Sadaqa allaahu al-'aliyyu al-'azeem.

Almighty God the most high speaks the truth.

اللہ بزرگ و برتر نے سچ فرمایا ہے۔
