Day of 18th Zilhijjah
Observe fast, for it erases the sins of 60 years, observing fast on this day is equal to the observance of fasting of one’s whole lifetime and its reward is equal to the rewards of 100 times of Hajj and Umrah.
اس دن کا روزہ رکھنا ۶۰ سال کے گناہوں کا کفارہ ہے،ایک روایت میں ہے کہ یومِ غدیر کا روزہ مدّتِ دنیا کے روزوں،۱۰۰حج اور ۱۰۰ عمرے کے برابر ہے۔
Perform Ghusl (Spiritual Bath).
اس دن غسل کرنا ضروری اور باعثِ خیر و برکت ہے۔
Put on new or clean clothes and apply perfume.
نیا یا پاک و صاف لباس پہنے اور خوشبو لگائے۔
Visit the shrine of Imam Ali (a) on this day even if such a journey be difficult.
اس روز جہاں کہیں بھی ہو خود کو روضۂ امیرالمؤمنینؑ پر پہنچائے اور آپ کی زیارت کرے۔
Recite the following dua Bismillahe khairil asmaa’e for Almighty Allah’s protection against Satan from the Holy Prophet (s) as cited by Sayyed ibn Tawus in the Iqbal.
سید نے کتاب اقبال میں رسول خداؐ سے روایت کی ہے کہ دُعا بِسْمِ اللهِ خَيْرِ الْأَسْمَاءِ کے ذریعے اللہ کی پناہ مانگو شیطان کے شر سے۔

روایت میں ہے :جو شخص اس عمل کو بجا لائے وہ اجر و ثواب میں اس شخص کے برابر ہے جو عیدِ غدیر کے دن حضرت رسولؐ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہو اور جناب امیرؑ کے دستِ مبارک پر بیعتِ ولایت کی ہو۔ بہتر ہے کہ اس نماز کو وقتِ ظہر سے پہلے ادا کرے کیوں کہ یہی وہ وقت ہے کہ جب رسولِ خداؐ نے امام علیؑ کی ولایت کا اعلان غدیر میں کیا تھا۔ ۲رکعت نماز بجا لائے جس کی پہلی رکعت میں سورۂ فاتحہ کے بعد سورۂ قدر اور دوسری رکعت میں سورۂ فاتحہ کے بعد سورۂ اخلاص پڑھے اور نماز کے بعد سجدہ میں جا کر ۱۰۰ مرتبہ کہے۔۔۔
شُكْرًا لِلّٰهِ۔

شکر ہے خدا کے لیے۔
Then get up from sajdah and recite dua Allahumma… Hamdo Wahdaka.
پھر سر سجدے سے اٹھاکر دعا اَللّٰهُمَّ۔۔۔ الْحَمْدُ وَحْدَكَ پڑھے۔
The reward of practicing this act is equal, to the rewards of 100,000 times of Hajj and 100,000 times of Umrah. Almighty Allah will also grant all the worldly and religious needs of the performer with easiness and good health. Perform ghusl and offer 2 rakat namaz before Zohr, in each rakat after Surah Fateha, recite Surah Ikhlaas, Aayatul Kursi and Surah Qadr 10 times each. After Namaz recite dua Rabbana inna-na same’na.
جو شخص اس نماز کو انجام دے تو اسے ۱۰۰۰۰۰ حج اور ۱۰۰۰۰۰ عمرہ کا ثواب ملے گا، نیز اس کی دنیا و آخرت کی حاجات آسانی سے پوری ہوں گی۔ غسل کرے زوال سے آدھا گھنٹہ قبل ۲ رکعت نماز بجا لائے جس کی ہر رکعت میں سورۂ فاتحہ کے بعد ۱۰ مرتبہ سورۂ اخلاص ۱۰ مرتبہ آیت الکرسی اور ۱۰ مرتبہ سورۂ قدر پڑھے تو اس کو ایک لاکھ حج ایک لاکھ عمرے کا ثواب ملے گا۔نیز اس کی دنیا و آخرت کی حاجات بآسانی پوری ہوں گی۔ اس نماز کے بعد رَبَّنَا اِنَّنَا سَمِعْنَا مُنَادِيًا پڑھے۔
It is recommended to recite the following dua Allahumma… be-haqqe Muhammad, which is reported by Sayyid Ibn Tawus from Shaykh Mufid.
