Surah Taariq (86, 17 ayat)سورۂ طارق

The night comer is sworn by and then identified as the star of piercing brightness, and every soul, the text says, has a keeper over it. Man is told to consider what he was made from and that his Lord is able to return him to life on the day hidden things are made manifest. It calls itself a decisive word and not a joke.

Nightly Visitant (Makki)

The Holy Prophet (s) has said that the reward for reciting this Surah is equivalent to 10 times the number of heavenly bodies in space. Imam Jafar Sadiq (a) has narrated that if Surah Taariq is recited in waajib namaz, then the reciter is honoured by Allah (s) and will get the opportunity of being with the Prophets (a).Reciting this Surah over anything keeps it safe. If recited before taking medicine, then the medicine will be a sure cure. The water in which this Surah has been dissolved should be poured gently on a wound and it will heal with the Grace of Allah (s).

امام صادقؑ نے فرمایا:جو شخص نماز میں سورۂ طارق کی تلاوت کرے روزِ قیامت خدا کے حضور میں اس کا جاہ ومقام ہوگااوروہ جنّت میں انبیاء واصحابِ انبیاء کے ہمراہ ہوگا۔ (مجمع البیان،ج۱۰ص۳۲۰)

بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

Bismi allaahi ar-rahmaani ar-raheem

In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

وَالسَّمَآءِ وَالطَّارِقِ

Was-samaa'i wat-taariq

I swear by the heaven and the comer by night;

آسمان اور رات کو آنے والے کی قسم۔

وَمَآ اَدْرٰكَ مَا الطَّارِقُ

Wamaa adraaka maa at-taariq

And what will make you know what the comer by night is?

اور تم کیا جانو کہ طارق کیا ہے۔

اَلنَّجْمُ الثَّاقِبُ

An-najmu ath-thaaqib

The star of piercing brightness;

یہ ایک چمکتا ہوا ستارہ ہے۔

اِنْ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ لَّمَّا عَلَيْهَا حَافِظٌ

In kullu nafsin lammaa 'alayhaa haafiz

There is not a soul but over it is a keeper.

کوئی نفس ایسا نہیں ہے جس کے اوپر نگراں نہ معین کیا گیا ہو۔

فَلْيَنْظُرِ الْاِنْسَانُ مِمَّ خُلِقَ

Fal-yanzuri al-insaanu mimma khuliq

So let man consider of what he is created:

پھر انسان دیکھے کہ اسے کس چیز سے پیدا کیا گیا ہے۔

خُلِقَ مِن مَّآءٍ دَافِقٍ

Khuliqa min maa'in daafiq

He is created of water pouring forth

وہ ایک اُچھلتے ہوئے پانی سے پیدا کیا گیا ہے۔

يَخْرُجُ مِنْۢ بَيْنِ الصُّلْبِ وَالتَّرَآئِبِ

Yakhruju min bayni as-sulbi wat-taraa'ib

Coming from between the back and the ribs.

جو پیٹھ اور سینہ کی ہڈیوں کے درمیان سے نکلتا ہے۔

اِنَّهٗ عَلٰى رَجْعِهٖ لَقَادِرٌ

Innahoo 'alaa raj'ihee laqaadir

Most surely He is able to return him (to life).

یقینًا وہ خدا انسان کے دوبارہ پیدا کرنے پر بھی قادر ہے۔

يَوْمَ تُبْلَى السَّرَآئِرُ

Yawma tublaa as-saraa'ir

On the day when hidden things shall be made manifest

جس دن رازوں کو آزمایا جائے گا۔

فَمَا لَهٗ مِنْ قُوَّةٍ وَّلَا نَاصِرٍ

Famaa lahoo min quwwatin walaa naasir

He shall have neither strength nor helper.

تو پھر نہ کسی کے پاس قوت ہو گی اور نہ مدد گار۔

وَالسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ الرَّجْعِ

Was-samaa'i zaati ar-raj'

I swear by the rain-giving heavens

قسم ہے چکر کھانے والے آسمان کی۔

وَالْاَرْضِ ذَاتِ الصَّدْعِ

Wal-ardi zaati as-sad'

And the earth splitting (with plants);

اور شگافتہ ہونے والی زمین کی۔

اِنَّهٗ لَقَوْلٌ فَصْلٌ

Innahoo laqawlun fasl

Most surely it is a decisive word

بے شک یہ قول فیصل ہے۔

وَمَا هُوَ بِالْهَزْلِ

Wamaa huwa bil-hazl

And it is no joke.

اور مذاق نہیں ہے۔

اِنَّهُمْ يَكِيْدُوْنَ كَيْدًا

Innahum yakeedoona kaydaa

Surely they will make a scheme

یہ لوگ اپنا مکر کر رہے ہیں۔

وَاَكِيْدُ كَيْدًا

Wa-akeedu kaydaa

And I (too) will make a scheme.

اور ہم اپنی تدبیر کر رہے ہیں۔

فَمَهِّلِ الْكٰفِرِيْنَ اَمْهِلْهُمْ رُوَيْدًا

Famahhili al-kaafireena amhilhum ruwaydaa

So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while.

تو کافروں کو چھوڑ دو اور انہیں تھوڑی سی مہلت دے دو۔

صَدَقَ اللهُ الْعَلِیُّ الْعَظِیْمُ۔

Sadaqa allaahu al-'aliyyu al-'azeem.

Almighty God the most high speaks the truth.

اللہ بزرگ و برتر نے سچ فرمایا ہے۔
