Day of 15th Rajab
In the word of Shaikh Tusi, in his book of Misbah al-Mutahajjid, one who intends to do this act is required to observe fasting on the 13th, 14th, and 15th days of Rajab. At the midday of the 15th, one should have a bath (Ghusl). After midday, one should offer the obligatory Zuhr and Asr Namaz with the Nafila so excellently that one should do all the parts perfectly. It is advisable to be in a vacant place so as not to be engaged with anything and not to be addressed by anyone.
عمل امّ داؤد کہ یہی اس دن کا خاص عمل ہے جو حاجت پوری ہونے، مصیبت کی دوری اور ظالموں کے ظلم سے حفاظت کے لئے بہت مؤثر ہے، شیخؒ نے مصباح میں اس عمل کی کیفیت یوں لکھی ہےکہ عمل امّ داؤد کرنے کے لئے ۱۳، ۱۴، ۱۵ رجب کو روزہ رکھے اور ۱۵ رجب کو زوال کے وقت غسل کرے زوال کے فوراً بعد نماز ظہر و عصر بجالائے، رکوع و سجود میں خوف اور عاجزی کا اظہار کرے اس وقت وہ تنہائی میں ہو، جہاں وہ کسی کام میں مشغول نہ ہوسکے، اور کوئی شخص اس سے بات بھی نہ کرے۔
After the obligatory Namaz, one should face the Qiblah and recite the below Surahs…
جب نماز سے فارغ ہو جائے تو قبلہ رُخ ہو کر اس طرح عمل کرے۔۔۔
a) Surah Fateha 100 times.
ا) ۱۰۰ مرتبہ سورۂ فاتحہ پڑھے۔
b) Surah Ikhlaas 100 times.
ب) ۱۰۰ مرتبہ سورۂ اخلاص پڑھے۔
c) Aayatul Kursi 10 times.
ت) ۱۰ مرتبہ آیت الکرسی پڑھے۔
d) Surah An’aam 1 time.
ث) ایک مرتبہ سورۂ انعام پڑھے۔
e) Surah Bani Israeel 1 time.
ج) ایک مرتبہ سورۂ اسراء پڑھے۔
f) Surah Kahf 1 time.
ح) ایک مرتبہ سورۂ کہف پڑھے۔
g) Surah Luqmaan 1 time.
خ) ایک مرتبہ سورۂ لقمان پڑھے۔
h) Surah Yaasin 1 time.
د) ایک مرتبہ سورۂ یس پڑھے۔
i) Surah Saaffaat 1 time.
ذ) ایک مرتبہ سورۂ صافات پڑھے۔
j) Surah Ha Meem Sajdah 1 time.
ر) ایک مرتبہ سورۂ حم سجدہ پڑھے۔
k) Surah Shoora 1 time.
ز) ایک مرتبہ سورۂ شوریٰ پڑھے۔
l) Surah Dukhaan 1 time.
س) ایک مرتبہ سورۂ دخان پڑھے۔
m) Surah Fatah 1 time.
ش) ایک مرتبہ سورۂ فتح پڑھے۔
n) Surah Waaqe’a 1 time.
ص) ایک مرتبہ سورۂ واقعہ پڑھے۔
o) Surah Mulk 1 time.
ض) ایک مرتبہ سورۂ ملک پڑھے۔
p) Surah Qalam 1 time.
ط) ایک مرتبہ سورۂ قلم پڑھے۔
q) Surah Inshiqaaq 1 time.
ظ) ایک مرتبہ سورۂ انشقاق پڑھے۔
r) Then recite each surah once from Surah Burooj till the last Surah Naas.
ع) پھر سورۂ بروج سےآخری سورۂ ناس تک ہر ایک کی تلاوت ایک مرتبہ کرے۔
Then recite Dua Umme Dawood.
اس کے بعد دُعاء ام داؤد پڑھے۔

اگر کوئی کسی وجہ سے تمام سورہ نہ پڑھ سکتا ہو تو اسے چاہیے کہ وہ اس طرح سے پڑھے۔۔۔
a) Tasbeehaat-e-Arba 100 times…
ا) ۱۰۰ مرتبہ تسبیحات اربعہ پڑھے۔
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلهِ وَلَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اللهُ وَاللهُ اَكْبَرُ۔
Subhaana allaahi wal-hamdu lillaahi walaa ilaaha illaa allaahu wallaahu akbar.
All glory be to Allah, all praise be to Allah, there is no god save Allah, and Allah is the Greatest.
پاک ہے اﷲاور حمد اﷲہی کے لئے ہے اور اﷲکے سوا کوئی معبودنہیں اور اﷲبزرگ تر ہے۔
b) Surah Fateha 100 times.
ب) ۱۰۰ مرتبہ سورۂ فاتحہ پڑھے۔
c) Surah Ikhlaas 100 times.
ت) ۱۰۰ مرتبہ سورۂ اخلاص پڑھے۔
d) Aayatul Kursi 10 times.
ث) ۱۰ مرتبہ آیت الکرسی پڑھے۔
e) Salwaat 100 times…
ج) ۱۰۰ مرتبہ درود پڑھے۔۔۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allaahumma salli 'alaa muhammadin wa-aali muhammad.
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آلؑ پر۔
f) Surah Ikhlaas 1000 times.
ح) ۱۰۰۰ مرتبہ سورۂ اخلاص پڑھے۔
Then recite Dua Umme Dawood.
اس کے بعد دُعاء ام داؤد پڑھے۔
As today is the martyrdom day it is better to recite Ziyarat Imam Sadiq (a).
کیونکہ آج یوم شہادت ہے لہٰذا زیارت امام جعفر صادقؑپڑھی جائے۔
